Sam and I were talking earlier and she mentioned that she wanted to have a picture taken of her modeling something, BUT not in the normal traditional poses, as they're terribly boring. That got me thinking to poses I'd get a kick out of seeing models in. Not the smiling, center of attention pose, not the angsty, I'm so dramatic it hurts pose... but an everyday pose. The things you'd never see someone advertising their wares in.
My first two ideas are these:
Armed and fighting off zombies
Changing a flat tire.
Join me in this. What would be some non-traditional and creative poses/scenarios for modeling clothes/hats/jewelry/whatever?

Joel that is NOT the pose you suggested earlier. I'll have to deduct 10 points from your score.
Ahem. For the record, Dalek suggested a person performing CPR.

Ahem. For the record, Dalek suggested a person performing CPR.I'm doing CPR. It's just off camera.
Also I'm doing it while cosplaying as Gendou Ikari.

Well, what good is a pose that you can't see? And I'll have to subtract another 10 points for the fact that the sweater you're modeling can't actually be seen in the photo.
Also I'm doing it while cosplaying as Gendou Ikari.
pfft. Maybe if you posed as Shiro Shirota. Sorry, that's another 8 points.

Open casket? Although technically speaking the model would be REposing.
Oh dear...

Several poses that can't help but scream "glamour":
-Scrubbing toilets
-Counting cans
-Pulling out weeds
-Knitting cat-size mittens
-Starting a bonfire underwater
-Flossing corn nibblets out of your teeth
-Wrestling younger brother before drop-kicking him into nearby waste basket
-Shaving a yak
-Applying ointment to a sunburn victim
-Being a menace to South Central while drinking your juice in the hood

I'm not really sure I get the topic.
Here are a few themes I'd like to see though.
The love seat of discontent.
Put someone on a love seat with a product they should love, but it comes up short so they're keeping their distance and it's just awkward.
Imagine Sketch on the love seat with a DVD of 4K!DS One Piece.
Or any Godzilla fan, Artimus Gigan for instance next to the Matthew Broderick version of Godzilla.
ToOn~g@l next to Michael Eisner.
Unnatural relationships with computers.
Put a computer monitor where a person should be.
Have a women pouring a bowl of cereal for a monitor seated at the breakfast table.
A computer sitting in a recliner, watching tv.
A Kury specific one.
I would put a darkly dressed Kury standing in a church pew with one of those lace scarves draped piously over the top of her head. In her hand would be a copy of Fruits Basket, but she wouldn't be reading it. She would be looking slightly up into the glow of manga enlightenment, reciting it by heart.
And this is where it would pay off.
Do the exact same location, costume and pose, but this time with Karl Olson. The only exception is that he would be holding a less mentionable manga.
Isn't it high time manga was Elevated to the level of holy scripture? o_X
I don't know.
How about booing old people for playing bingo?
Is that what we're going for?
With much confusion,

Oh, and such wild thoughts this gives me. Geek churches. Similar to that seen in Futurama, but they wouldn't only be Star Trek-y.

Greta Garbo, Ada Monroe.
Dietrick and DiMaggio.
Marlon Brando, Jimmy Dean,
On the cover of a magazine.
Grace Kelly, Harlow Jean,
Picture of a beauty queen.
Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire.
Ginger Rogers, dance on air.
They had style, they had grace,
Rita Hayworth gave good face.
Lauren, Katherine, Lana too.
Bette Davis, we love you.
Ladies with an attitude,
Fellas that were in the mood,
Don't just stand there, let's get to it,
Strike a pose, there's nothing to it
