He needs one indeed, it just looks terrible don't you think? If he got all the money from the trust fund why doesn't he ever go to a barber shop? Even the Penguin got his hair got (or let's say what's left of it :D)

The reason his hair is so long is that it shows that he is indeed much older and done with college and I think that it show a good change from BTAS(that he is on his on his own). I think he dose'nt want one

I rejected the long hair look at first too, but I think the older Dick makes it work. It does show he's older and making decisions on his own. I think it was a step to show how he was a bit different than the fun loving DG we used to know in our Batman and Robin days. :)

I guess a trim couldn't hurt though....

I don't think that the long hair prooves how mature he is...It just prooves that he didn't visit a hair cutter for a long time...;)

It's a form of rebellion against his former clean-cut, "good kid" lifestyle. The boy's got some issues.

If Nightwing wants to show his independence or rebelliousness, maybe he should get a tattoo or a piercing. I mean come on--- a mullet? If the change was made in 1987 instead of 1997, it would have been fine, but that hairstyle was already seven years out of style when we first saw it on Dick. He was starting to remind me of Billy Ray Sirus.

A mullet? LOL

The first thing that popped into my mind was "Joe Dirt: Vigilante" (and I haven't even seen the movie, I refuse to). :D

asking whether he would get a hair cut is like asking "when does batman go to the bathroom?" or "when does he take a shower?"

...that question has already been answered in "The Last Laugh" :D

Yeah, he needs a new hair-do! Come on! Long hair is great, but a mullet? UGH!

--if Dick wants to look mature, he can grow a beard. Sooner or later some guy's going to see him from the back, mistake him for a woman , and make a pass at him (my brother and his friend almost did that once at Wal-Mart).http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/otn/funny/gorgeous.gif Ahhhh! That's a man!
You know, come to think of it, there aren't too many bearded superheroes. Except maybe Green Lantern...and Wolverine has sideburns...but that's about as close as they get. http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/otn/funny/browsmiley.gif

I kinda liked the long hair look... Not only did he look mature but it was pretty cool and a change in style. He was going for the rebel thing, I mean, look how much he and Bruce locked horns. At first I didn't even notice it and when I did wondered what the heck was up, but then the look kinda grew on me. It added to his character. And as for the getting hit on, I'd hardly say someone could mistake him for a female, he doesn't have the build for one. Besides, not all guys with long hair look bad... (:Howie:- ok, only Supergirl will enjoy that one) Hey, did he wear it long to Bruce's wedding?

okay ... you guys obviously have way too much time on your hands ....

and so do I so here goes: the haircut is a metaphor for the change in character/lifestyle, etc ... and - as someone already said - it symbolises his rebellion, maturity, etc.

And ... um ... it looks better?

i like the longer hair, it makes him look tougher and not so clean cut as he was in tas. and i love his motorcycle. yeah, dick grayson definately has more style in tnba than in tas.

I like the long-hair look on Nightwing. He's my favorite character next to Batman. To me, it shows a contrast between Batman and Nightwing. Yes, I also considered his hairstyle to be a symbolic resemblence of his growing up and maturity. I never considered Nightwing's hairstyle as a mullet. I thought his hair was long to begin with, he just ponytailed it, with a few hairs sticking up on top. And if it is a mullet, then Nightwing is pulling off that look very well. If you read the Nightwing comics, his hairstyle looks much cooler. But I like them both just the same. His hairstyle reminds my of those old Jet Li movies for some reason (with more hair in the front of course). And his all black outfit makes him look like a ninja. I like Nightwing's look.

"UGH! is right Clayface. Except Long hair on guys is never cool. <<Unless you are William Wallace and it is the style of the time>> If any of you reading this, have long hair - do yourself a favor and CUT IT OFF!

When did Dick Grayson become white trash? You'd think a little class would have rubbed off on him, after all those years at stately Wayne Mannor.
