Stan and Francine attend Francine's high school reunion, where Stan hopes to live his dream of dancing with prom queen. When it's discovered Francine lost by two votes, Stan must choose between his wife or the dance of a lifetime. Meanwhile, Roger and Steve seek enlightenment from the local pizza delivery guy.

I would follow this pizza delivery guy anywhere.

The pizza guy subplot really didn't work for me, but the main plot was standard AD goodness. I was a little confused at the end, though -- why did Francine shoot the guy who didn't say the sweet stuff? I thought she said Stan would never say anything like that, so shouldn't she have shot Stan at that point? I must've missed something here.

Worst one yet. I thought it was poorly paced. with a predictable ending. 2/5.

Fave line: "How do you play Monopoly Backwards?"

Excellent episode. Both plots (and really, the 3rd one too) were great. My favorite joke: The Adapt a Highway joke, the 3rd drawer and the gay-dar joke were funny.

Great Job. 5/5

Excellent American Dad episode.

Stan's overreacting still remains funny. Especially when he hired his double (I loved how he remembered everything :D ) I also found that "Send them baaaaaack!" Cologne gag great. That "Gaydar" watch was also great stuff.

The Steve story was great. I loved the scene where he was throwing the pizzas over the bridge. And that Pizza delivery man was brilliant, I need to listen to him from now on.

The Hayley plot... went nowhere. Fun Star Wars concert idea though.

4/5

Not the funniest episode of the season, nor the most well-crafted script, but still plenty of funny moments to be had. I enjoyed the spoof of the exact doubles climax, Stan's double's exact knowledge of specific moments in time (especially loved the tampon part), and Roger at his bully's door. Francine's line where she says "If you're so darn- no wait, DAMN, that's right, I went there, if you're so DARN..." was a nice twist.

But man, all the jokes about the overweight REAL Homecoming queen sucked, especially when she got drunk and slurred through speech. And none of the Haley/pot jokes succeeded.

In response to Lemming's question, it's to tell who the real one is.

I wonder if anyone actually does the "holding up boombox with Peter Gabriel playing" trick. Having Gabriel Byrne as a replacement is good though.

I really liked the Francine/Klaus bits, sounds like a good friendship. How do you play Monoploy backwards anyway?

I loved that John Delorean High School had gull-wing doors. Haley and Klaus' stoner-induced discussions were funny, especially the bit about the Star Wars band.

And none of the Haley/pot jokes succeeded.I actually really liked that C-plot, if only because I've had evenings like that and it rang true. It's a very understated, low-on-hilarity plot (except for the "How do you play Monopoly backwards?" line, which was great), but I thought it was kinda cute. Different strokes.

I was a little bit left down by this one, not so much because it did anything wrong but because there just weren't that many laughs. I think American Dad has excellent character work, but there weren't that many gags this time around that really connected. Having Steve and Roger spend an evening with a Christ analogue is a funny idea with lots of potential but I don't feel it really payed off.

Still, not too shabby. Even when this show doesn't hit all the right notes it usually manages to be somewhat endearing regardless.

I hope everyone enjoyed it, it's the last American Dad premire till atleast April. That new show is taking it's slot March 12..not Free Ride, but the other one....Damnit, I can't think of the name. Someone help me out.

I wouldn't consider Hayley's evening to be a subplot; it was really just part of Steve being home alone.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention -- the fact that Hayley uses an iMac is classic.

Because she thought Stan would never say something like that, she assumed it was the body double, so she shot the other one, who she thought was the real Stan.

I thought this was an enjoyable episode.

The main plot was great, the Jesus as a pizza guy part was great, and the Haley scenes were pretty funny too.

A for the episode.

This was an okay episode, the plot was a little boring but I found the one with Haley and Klaus kinda funny especially when they talked about which star wars character would be playing what instrument. "Oh no I forgot Yoda!"

I give this one a B.

OH, now I get it. She wanted to shoot Stan. Got it.

An okay episode of American Dad. I knew somehow Hayley was a stoner, but now we know for sure!

6/10 An okay episode but not great.

You know, I actually thought the whole killing of doubles in this episode was kind of mean spirited without really being all that funny. Kind of like Venture Brothers, which is the last thing this show needs to be like.

There were some funny moments, but not as many as usual for this show.

Stan and Francine: Loved Stan using his CIA powers to kidnap a crooner to get Francine back on his good side. Loved the ending... which really hit its mark when Francine thought she hit the real Stan, but she hit the double instead! That unexpected twist alone saved this episode! On the other hand, being mean-spirited to the new Homecoming Queen Betty Sue was a bit much.

Steve and Roger: A fun little allegory to them with 'Jesus' the delivery guy. The best parts of the episode are with this trio, with Steve consoling with his bully, getting to deliver pizzas, then getting mad when 'Jesus' spreads his good-doing to Roger.

Francine and Klaus: I get the fact they had stoned brownies and liked the joke about 'How do you play Monopoly backwards?' Still, putting these two, the worst characters in the lead cast together, was a dull mistake.

6.5 out of 10 for "It's Good to be the Queen."

I thoroughly enjoyed the episode. It wasn't downright hilarious, but still overly fun and enjoyable. I also loved all the '80s references( I'm a die-hard '80s nut, what can I say?).

And guys...you're ACTUALLY wondering how someone plays Monopoly backwards? Take note- THE FISH WAS STONED! You're actually looking for intellectual information and whatnot from a stoned fish...okeee....

But I thought the thing about the Star Wars rock band was so retarted, it was funny.

I also liked Roger's remark about 5 year old Pakistani boys :D

I'm not going to be among those who knock this episode. Both the A and B plots were creative and funny.

Where does the "woman nervously holds gun trying to decide which of two lookalikes to shoot" come from? This certainly isn't the only show that's done it. Where was this scene made famous?

I don't recall seeing it done with a woman particularly often (boy, that did not come out right), but it may come from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. I'm not sure if they were the first to do it or what, but Captain Kirk is escaping the prison colony ice planet with a traitorous shape-shifter and the prison guard finds them and has to decide which one to shoot. That's basically how it went. I'm sure I'm missing some detail, but at some point there is a scene where he's deciding which one to shoot.

For some reason, seeing Stan('s double) speaking with a western/southern accent was hilarious.... I don't know why. I was hoping Roger and Steve would blow up more stuff, can't have anything... Cars exploding are always good though.

Jesus the delivery man was well played, and they didn't name him "Jesus"(Hay suus) as if talking down to the audience. The Cain and Able reference(Atleast that's kind of what I interpreted as) with Steve becoming jelous was a funny.

Stan's normal obsessive nature surfaces as he willingly dates a slag as along as she's queen, at the wrong reunion. That plot didn't have much laughs, don't really like "Husband Screwed up" plots too much, but AD did a well job of it. Funniest part was when Stan woke up from his flash back shooting "AND YOU!!! AND YOU!!!" only to find out he killed Jackson.......'s double

I thought this was a good episode for the series, but it didn't have anything that really hooked me. Jesus as the pizza guy was funny, as was the use of doubles, but it just fell flat. The stoner parts weren't all that funny; although Klaus saved them when he was used.

It doesn't take a genius to play Monopoly backwards. Just go in the other direction, duh. I liked that subplot, though, Klaus looked funny.

The main plot was okay. Stan went a bit too far (but then again, what else is new?), and he wasn't that funny. I liked the third drawer and the Peter Gabriel part.

The Jesus pizza guy was okay. I liked the part with the bully and when he disappears at the end and Steve remarks that he's going to come back in three days.

Not too bad of an episode. I thought the main plot was kind of weak until the end when Francine shot the wrong double. I enjoyed the short bits where Haley and Klaus got high and were talking about random bits that don't make sense. The Steve and Roger subplot with the pizza guy was.... life-changing...

And it was all right. I give it a C+.

All I know is that it was featured in a gag on Family Guy. Maybe it's just a cheesy plot device used in soap operas.

It doesn't take a genius to play Monopoly backwards. Just go in the other direction, duh.And you have a certain number of properties owned at the start too, and you get money when you land on their spots.

With all these nods to pop culture I can tell that a good number of people who worked on Family Guy are now working on this show. Maybe it's also a reason why this show has been doing better in recent times.

The duplicate shooting thing is a pretty common device. The Simpsons used it long before Family Guy was even around, and many other shows did it before then. I remember Get Smart doing it once, for example.
