That's the only official info so far. There's been outdated promo art and lots of rumours, but so far nothing concrete.

I never saw any of that artwork. Did it look like B. T or Glen Murkonimi (i doub't that's spelled right) style.
Also:
JLU and TT crew are working on it. Just went back to the [website name removed]. I wonder if Nichole Tom is reprising her role as Sg.
NOTE: C'mon, guys. You know the drill!

There's another thread about the same subject, but it looks like the new series is going to be Superboy and the Legion of Superheroes. Norm Ryang (http://normart.blogspot.com), who did art on Teen Titans, is on Legion as a prop artist, and James Tucker, who did the lion's share of the JLU character designs is also working on it.
Ben Caldwell (http://www.drawingboard.org/viewtopic.php?t=41446) and Olvi Nedelcu (http://ovistudios.fatcow.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/page2.jpg) both did early concept work for the series.
Dwayne McDuffie is not working on the series, nor is bt.

I'm skeptical on that. Supergirl, not Superboy, joined the Legion of Superheroes in JLU.
Of course, it could be that the show isn't in the Timmverse, which would suck.

I was too, but all the concept art I've seen has Superboy in it.
By the way, you kind of dropped a JLU spoiler in your post there.

Here's one reason it might not be Supergirl: Toys.
Traditionally, toy manufacturers do not believe that female action figures sell. Therefore, they may be hesitant to launch a show like LOSH - which already has few recognizable (to many kids) names to begin with.
Superboy is a name people would recognise (as in Superman) and would be aimed at boys.
Just a thought about motivation, based on what I have heard toy companies say in the past.
Personally I think it's crap - I know many little boys who love their Wonder Woman and Supergirl figures. But it is a bias I have heard.
