It airs Fridays on AS's Friday Night Fix, an online streaming website. The episodes start airing at 11:00 EST(I don't know if this applies for central time).

- Wow, Kagetoki Kariya is definately holding his own against Jin and Mugen.

- Wow, Kagetoki just sent Mugen into the water. It doesn't happen very often that Mugen gets beat.

- I'm guessing Jin and Kagetoki must know each other from somewhere, because Jin seems to recognize him.

- Ouch, that must hurt for Fuu. At least it's better than the alternative.

-Heh, I knew Jin must have recognized him. I didn't think he would order Jin's teacher to kill Jin. And Jin took out his teacher so easily.

- Great, that crazy guy is going to fight Mugen on the boat. Maybe Tienshin can ward him off so Mugen can save Fuu.:D

- Underwater fighting, yay! I hope there aren't any sharks around the area.

-Damn, Fuu is taking a beating. I hope that bastard gets what he deserves.

-Wow, I would hate to be cut by a scythe.

-I wouldn't think the Sunflower Samurai would be him.

- No, Jin.:(

Wow, great episode. This one topped last week, which was just as good. Just one more episode, and this great series comes to an end.

Holy crap, is Jin dead? I really hope not, it seems too abrupt.

That wheelchair guy better have a cool special attack...and I hope scythe guy gets taken down.

Well guys, only one left to go before we wrap the Champloo...can't wait 'till next Friday.

I found myself dulling out some points, enthusiastically enthralled in others.

Notes:
- So we finally learn how Jin ended up killing his master. Apparently his master was to kill Jin, as ordered by Kagetoki Kariya. That was a gruesome death.
- Speaking of gruesome deaths, Mugen killing that weird guy with a bloodlust (some evil combination of Gluttony and Wrath, perhaps?) underwater. Ouch.
- More ouchies... that scythe-carrier giving Fuu a beating. Granted, I don't recall ever seeing a female character getting trashed that way before, so that was quite shocking. I really felt sorry for the little gal.
- We're tying this to those guys from the sugar ship that Mugen was betrayed on and was going to die on? Wow. Anyway, Mugen better give this guy a fight!

6.5 out of 10 for "Evanescent Encounter - Part 2."

I loved the music that played during the underwater fight. It just worked perfectly. I think that the fight between Kagetoki Kariya and Jin was the highlight of the episode.

I'm pretty sure I know how things are going to end -- I'll find out soon enough.

I guess Jin is dead...

Mugen was getting whooped badly, but not before Fuu getting beaten herself.

Oh, boy...one more to go.

"Beatdown" should've been the subtitle for this episode, since, well, everyone seems to be beating up someone else the whole time. With all the violence going on, Fuu's short-lived beating was the most uncomfortable to watch out of all of them.

I give EEP2 a B.

Great ep, liked part one better. I looked away from the tv during Fuu's beating.... and as for Jin... grumble, grumble... grrr...grrr...

As tough as Fuu always makes herself out to be on this series, you can sometimes forget that she's a tiny little teenager, as shown where scyhte guy was whaling on her. But it makes sense seeing as how this is the end of the series and nothing this deep has happened to her violence wise, but the other two guys have experienced that kind of pain before, sort of like the last obstacle of her journey before its end.

I did like how they didn't make Mugen all noble when he saw what happened, he still acted nonchalant as usual, even though it was obvious he was pissed at what had happened to his friend.

If Jin is dead after that i'm Batman heh, no way would they give a main char a death like that, poor Fuu, ouch to Mugen blocking with his hand. Good ep hehehe, can't wait to see the final.

That was good a little dull at points but it was nice finding out Jin's full past. I don't think he even knew it was his teacher attacking him until the guy was already dying.

Don't remember his name but the guy fighting Mugen was awsome too bad he's gone now.

Fuu's dizzy stumble up the hill made me laugh just a little even though it was meant to be sad it looked funny.

I'm still depressed that its going to be all over but I can't wait for the finale. I just wish they'd have changed ending songs for these last few eps.

they'll very likely change the ending song for the next one, though......Jin is down, but I don't believe he's completely out......maybe...:crying:

I was thinking the same thing (well, minus the part about being Batman :anime:). I've learned never to count on an anime show to not kill a main character, but it seemed like a rather unceremonious ending. When Jin was thinking that there was only one way to end the fight, I thought maybe it meant he decided the only way to end it was to take a hit and figure out a sneak attack later or wait until he and Mugen could team up on the guy. And even though he obviously got sliced, was it any worse than the wounds he received from Sara, and he managed to pull through that. But this could all just be wishful thinking on my part. I've been spoiled by watching anime on DVD, and I can hardly wait until next week to see how it all ends.

Could I have been wrong all this time? If Jin sent Mugen to save Fuu, did he discover at the "hug by the river", that Fuu cares for Mugen more?

I wondered that, too. But I also thought that maybe he sent Mugen to save Fuu as a way for Mugen to prove himself to Fuu. In the flashback, it seemed to focus on the part when Fuu said something like, "...but that jerk Mugen..." (sorry, I've never been good at remembering direct quotes), so Jin realized that Fuu still didn't know how much Mugen cared about her (whether we're supposed to take it as romantic or more of a friendly/brotherly affection, I don't know).

That's a good way to see it, letting Mugen go to prove how much he cares for Fuu, I htought what Kagetsu did that maybe she finally admitted how she really felt about Mugen. Which would be typical girls always go for the guys that would prefer anyone else or anytihng in a skirt.

...What about the whole Mugen and that girl ninja that said Mugen would be her husband. Was that just a joke or a dream? Or am I just missing something here?

No, I don't think it was a joke. They probably will be married but, we don't find out(unfortunately:().
