I was going to stop making these, but someone has to make this talkback. I don't have the fancy formats that other talkback's have, but I hope some fans of the series will actually manage to reply to this one.

Episode Descriptions

The Tell-Tale Shoes: While at the Mayan Mall, Brandy is attempting to teach Whiskers how to walk around properly. However, when she is insulted and laughed at due to the fact that she isn’t wearing the latest fashion footwear, she decides to head off to the store to purchase a new pair as quickly as possible. However, when it turns out that the new shoes cost too many shiny rocks, she takes the advice of her subconscious mind and she steals the shoes; though Mr. Whiskers’ warning about the story of The Tell-Tale Heart soon puts her in a state of confusion.

Time For Waffles: Brandy has had her eye on an attractive marsh deer named Melvin for quite some time, though when he refuses to talk to her, Brandy begins to wonder if there’s something wrong with her physical appearance. When Gaspar shows up and offers her some teeth whitening merchandise, she accepts his offer and she begins to undergo procedures to make her teeth whiter, though will Melvin really like her new look?

My Thoughts

I Believe that both of these episodes were very entertaining, though I believe both episodes suffered from some pacing issues and I believe Time For Waffles ended in a fashion that was disappointing. However, I still believe these episodes were very well done and I gave them an 8.9 out of 10 over at TV.com. Russell Marcus wrote Time For Waffles, in which he is the individual who created the series, so it's good to see him finally return to write another episode.

Honestly, these talkbacks have been failures since nobody seems to be able to watch the episode when it actually airs. I e-mailed Disney and they forwarded my complaint about the timeslot to their programming department, but I suppose I am digressing.

Good episode in the sense that both parts were very goofy. Good to see Brandy has finally made a move towards that deer from last season. I love a good episode where Brandy and Whiskers act pretty close.

Yeah, I believe episodes where both Brandy & Mr. Whiskers are on friendly terms are the most interesting, and these two episodes certainly had such; Brandy even told Margo that insulting Whiskers wasn't cool in The Tell-Tale Shoes. I also agree with you about Melvin the Marsh Deer, I enjoyed seeing Brandy's attempts to impress him and his comments on how she was freaking him out were quite amusing.

I've seen many episodes of animated programs that attempt to reference Edgar Allen Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart, though The Tell-Tale Shoes actually talked directly about it. The Tell-Tale Heart involves murder in its plot and it was interesting that Mr. Whiskers implied that murder took place when describing what occurred in the story to Brandy.

Melvin's comments about how he thought Brandy was part of some dental cult were also quite humorous in my personal opinion. This series is my favorite animated program and despite the fact that I've seen countless animated programs in my lifetime, I've never enjoyed a series more than this one and episodes such as these help keep my satisfied in my decision.
