Okay, for the sake of the fact you are an art student... I am going to break the rules a LITTLE bit and give you a constructive yet strict critique only cause you have a lot of potentional in your drawing skills.
First I like the rendering of the top one... especially the torso and leg region. There are good forms and weights there that I like a lot. Nice perspective as well.
Now, for the strict parts...
First, free up that damn hand! *slaps it lightly*
Youre still a on the stiff side and concentrating too much on certain areas! Thats why certain spots come out less proportioned than the others and lifeless. Dont stay in one place too long... jump around over the form. Also, focus on the model more.
Finally, try to drawing the form inside out... meaning do the shadowing first and worrying about your hard lines later... youll notice that you wont need them.
Doing these three things together will have a significant impact in your drawing. Youre getting there... you have a great, hard edge to your line quality that screams "look at me!!" Just keep working the conte and a lot of things will come to you. :)

Thanks Outlander, it's nice to read someone critiquing my drawings so thoroughly. It's also nice to read a critique that doesn't critisize my construction or gesture. Yay!!!!
And trust me I'm totally aware just how whack (I can't beleive I'm using that term, what is this 1998) the leg on drawing two is. I was struggling with that thing for a while.
