View Full Version : World's Finest Help Needed: Reviewers and Request

Hey all,
As you recently saw (or didn’t), The World’s Finest re-launched it’s B:TAS and TNBA sections. With this we had hoped to re-review all episodes, as the current reviews don’t really hit on all the bases I like. A few well thought out paragraphs is all the requirements are, so if you feel you can write a good review of your favorite (and least favorite) B:TAS or TNBA episode, feel free to email them to me (birdboy@toonzone.net). I can’t promise if they’ll be used, it honestly depends on the quality of them.
Secondly, forum member MacGyver brought it to my attention earlier this year that when airing during Kids WB!, The Batman / Superman Adventures occasionally aired with full credits. Over these credits was a version of the music featured on the New Batman / Superman Adventures theme. I’ve never heard this music and I’m sure many more of us haven’t as well, so if anyone happens to have a few old episodes of TNB/SA on tape or whatever format with the original intro and credits in tact, I would very much love to add an MP3 of the end credits to the site. It’d be a real treat to hear, especially since WHV didn’t give us the TNB/SA credits on the DVD releases (or maybe they will on STAS Vol. 3, though I very much doubt it).
So if anyone is able to help—feel free to email me. Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is what you are talking about, but if you play any of the discs from "Batman The Animated Series, Volume Four: The New Batman Adventures" and you select "Play" instead of "Episodes" it takes you to a menu that allows you to choose to play the episodes with either the "Batman: The Animated Series Opening Credits" or "The New Batman Superman Adventures Opening Credits".

I believe he meant the end credits. :)

I did indeed. Someone contacted me who may actually have it on tape somewhere, so hopefully he'll be able to find it...

I'd love to submit some reviews :)
Isn't this that end credits image?

I'd be more than happy to write some reviews...especially for the Adventures Comics section.

Just wanted to toss this offer back up to anyone who still wants to submit. There are still a ton of episodes open, so review whatever you want. Massive thanks to all those who have submitted already, I'll hopefully be putting them up before months end.

Question: Will the new reviews replace the old ones? I ask mainly because of an issue I have with the review of Perchance to Dream - it spoils Over the Edge. Plot details about the episode in question are one thing, but not having seen Edge myself, well, I'd imagine I'm not the only one with a problem with this.

They aren't being replaced, no. We can only be wary of spoilers for so long and considering "Over the Edge" is almost 10 years old, it's kind of pushing it to be putting up spoiler warnings for anything pre-JLU.

I wrote one a while ago, don't know if it will be put up, but I definitely would like to do more.

Are you looking for reviews of jsut BTAS and TNBA or are you looking for reviews of any DCAU shows?

Currently just BTAS/TNBA, though if there's anything you want to review you can always send it in. As I said before, I can't guarantee that I'll use everything, it really depends on the quality of everything.

You boys should do some audio reviews or even some commentaries on episodes!
Splice some cues or lines from said episode in and keep the file size reasonable, I'd sure download them.

Hmm, I missed this somehow. It's still open, right?

Yeah, do commentaries.
Um, Bird Boy: I think you shouldn't re-review the BTAS/TNBA episodes. The reason why is because its kinda history to your site. By changing it, you alter history....the site's.

We're looking into it.

I'm not removing the old ones, I'm just adding more. I just want the episodes to have more in-depth reviews.

Honestly man, I tried doing one for Blind as a Bat and I found it pretty hard. I never realized how simplistic (if well-crafted) the stories were back then, and there really wasnt a lot for me to cover that the original review hadn't already. :p
