Here... (http://www.lik-sang.com/news.php?artc=3797) I was meaning to post this yesterday but I forgot... Anyways I may actually get this with my DSL, and it would be great to retire my 4G 20GB iPod with something that does video and music. Sure video won't look the prettiest, but C: DoS's intro looked fine so I have no regrets... It certainly is cheap enough, though. $180 ain't THAT bad.

Sweet-as. I'm starting to see more and more reason's to own a DS. Maybe I'll wait for the Lite design, though.

$180 WTF?! Can't someone just figure out a way to slap the info on flash cards? I'm shocked nobody has since this would be even easier and cheaper to have a 1GB flash card to play music and watch movies off of.

$180 is not that bad... Especially when a lot of 2GB SD cards cost ~$80, even on sale. Sure it may be it a bit more, but whatever.

It's interesting, but I could see myself buying a cheap portable DVD player or iPod Nano first. The DS display isn't very good for watching video on, unfortunately (believe me, I've tried).
But still -- interesting!

You used a device made for the GBA, right? Well this is for the DS so it would take into account the specific resolution of the system.

I've seen the DS-specific version of the M3 in action. It's not good for much, unfortunately.

Yea, I know of what you speak. That thing had me going for a bit, but I realized it was a waste of money. I'm definitely interested in this piece of tech, though. I'm actually debating between picking up a Lite NOW after selling my launch DS, or getting a GP2X for now and a DSL when they come here. Although the prospect of missing Metroid Prime: Hunters et al coming out soon, I don't know if I could bare missing out.

I'd recommend waiting until we see how this gizmo physically works with the DS Lite. GBA cartridges will apparently stick out a bit, so it may be a little awkward. :(

If they believe people are going to pay that much for this they must be dreaming. I mean come on, you can get the GBA/DS Movie Player adapter with built-in emulation, image viewer, audio player and text reader for about $20. Granted it doesn't have it's own storage space, but you'll find you won't use as much of the available space as you think.
I still don't think the DS resolution is suitable for videos myself, but if I didn't already have an MP3 Player I might have considered getting it for that. But again, there are cheaper alternatives.
