Very disappointing indeed!!!!!! What a sad day for cartoon fans. Have you seen Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends? It's crappy animation at best (IMO), yet it won several awards! That's crazy! Naruto, Justice League and Teen Titans were all shutout. The only good news was The Incredibles got best Cartoon DVD Release, even though it's technically not a cartoon with 100% CGI.

I think Foster's won, not because of the simplistic Flash animation, but the writing over the past few episodes has become pretty snarky and cynical. It's a cute show, but the jabs the crew takes at random things somewhat compensates for the cutesy factor.

It didn't win any awards for animation, it won them all for its writing and overall package. Avatar won for best animation.

Dang, I forgot to vote in this. If I'd remembered then I'd have voted for Paranoia Agent in the "Best Foreign Series" category.
That said, I don't have any problems with the results. As much as I love Avatar, it still needs a little time to grow before it's 'da best', and I'm glad the results reflected that. 'sides...Foster's is cute!

I'm so happy Kim Possible's "Could It Be" song won!!!!!:D I suggested that one, BTW.:anime:
I'm a little surprised it beat a song from Corpse Bride!

I haven't seen Corpse or Howl's yet, but of the other three theatrical films in that category that I've seen, Wallace & Gromit definitely deserved it. The movie just had a charm and spirit that Robots and Madagascar lacked. Plus, a very memorable orchestral score and an engaging story.
Here's hoping it wins Best Animated Feature at the Oscars, too.

I had been waiting for the results, and I'm satisfied for the most part. I didn't vote for DeLisle in the actress category (I picked Candi Milo there), but I'm not disappointed with the result.

 Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 3 didn't win best DVD?!
Though I'm pleased to see Foster's won in a few categories and thrilled to see Wallace and Gromit getting the recognition it deserves.

Glad Bonus Stage won Best Webtoon, considering this is probably its last year.
Ever.

Best TV Series: Eh, I guess I can live with Foster's winning. On one hand, Foster's wouldn't have made the nominee list if not for the November and December episodes. On the other, those same episodes were probably the freshest, and the best, in most people's minds. Avatar debatably is the only other nominee that had anywhere close to a good final two months of '05.
Best Film Made for TV or Direct to Video: Figured the FG fanboys would come through, though honestly, this category was wide open. Anyone could've won it.
Best Voice Actress on a TV Series: I guess people wanted an actress who actually spoke words. Sorry Coco... but Frankie winning isn't a total loss.
An upset or two, but nothing I couldn't live with. Good choices, TZ faithful!

Even though I had supported its nomination, I pulled back on A:TLA too, because I think it needs to better itself in a number of ways to really be winner for best series (or writing, I ended up going for JLU because of the Cadmus arc in that category), but I do think it warrants the technical awards.
My picks for actors and actresses were a complete wash. Of course, I'm still spited that Makoto Iwamatsu didn't recieve enough votes to even make it to through the nominations.

So did I. But I think Fosters deserves the attention anyway. It's how you're supposed to do a children's program. They should be taking notes, and not making more anime ripoffs.
The "web animation" category looks pretty bad. I'm in disbelief that three of the four choices were H*R--if they're all from the same site then it doesn't count. So your choices were either H*R or feeding Matt's ego. More research could have been shown there.

I think people suggested HR, TGS, and SBE many times enough for all of them to be considered separate toons. It's like when The Sopranos was nominated 4 times for Best Writing in the same year for the Emmys.
If you think I didn't do my homework right, please contact me privately and tell me what I did wrong, but please don't come baiting in my article's topic. I don't follow some of the listed shows, so I have to go by what the people say.

Coco is part of the reason why I voted for Milo. I just felt that the way she did the character impressed me quite a bit (though it's just saying "Coco").

I do think Foster's should be nominated for an Emmy for the "Deo" episode. You see a whole other side of Bloo in that one...the non jerkoff side.
