With the confirmation that the Batman: The Animated Series - the Legend Begins will have episodes in chronological order, fans have started a petition, clamoring for two other criticaly acclaimed to get the same treatment - Batman Beyond and Superman: The Animated Series. And yes, WB did already release a Batman Beyond DVD, entitled Batman Beyond: The Movie, that featured episodes #1 - 2, #4 - 6. The odd thing is, the DVD left out the episode "Black Out". Other than that, the DVD is in chronological order.
The Batman/Superman Movie: World's Finest will likely determine the fate of further Superman episodes on DVD. It's also possible the sales of the unedited Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker DVD will also determine if we get more Batman Beyond episodes on disc.

"After countless requests Warner Brothers has finally agreed to release Batman the animated series on DVD in chronological order and we thank them for that. We now need to bring their attention to something else, two other DC animation programs they possess known as Batman Beyond and Superman the animated series. When Batman Beyond first began airing Warner Brothers promised us they would release the entire series of Batman Beyond on home video because we as fans "deserved it". We never did get the whole series released on VHS, though this is partly because of poor sales, the poor sales were a result of the format the tapes were released in (VHS, theme packs) and the fact that most fans prefer the DVD format. Although one Batman Beyond DVD was released, it was released in 1998, when the DVD format was just beginning to catch on and most people didn’t even own DVD players. Not only that, but it wasn’t even released in chronological order as it skipped an episode. If the show were to be wisely released in chronological volumes just as Batman the animated series and the Justice League are being released, the show would surly sell significantly better on DVD. Superman the animated series has also been neglected on the DVD format. The newer fans of the DC animation who watch The Justice League, would surly be interested in watching the show and the show's already large fan base would gladly buy any animated Superman DVDs that would be released. This petition is to let Warner Brothers know that the DC animation fan base is interested in seeing more than just Batman and The Justice League on DVD, and that we would also like to see Batman Beyond and Superman released in chronological volumes on DVD. "
