Found this News Clip on Anime from 2000. Seeing it made me laugh, for some reason. Maybe it was the narrator's dialogue, probably a little scared. :p

Yea, it was weird going back and seeing Tenchi Muyo, Eva, and Slayers VHS tapes. Nowadays, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and DBZ are, for the most part, the only anime still using VHS tapes.

Wow... not only did they sorta' get everything right for the most part, they didn't go into all out "OMG! Nudity in cartoonS!!!! Kill the Japanese!!" like every news report in my area has been.

But... Japanimation? Seriously? I know even in 2000 that was considered an archaic.

Also note their spelling of "otaku" as "okatu" in the subtitles. Heh.

But, hey, overall not a bad report for a local mainstream news venue at all.
