Once again the PC version will fix a couple of the problems with the XBox version while having 64 people in one server. Yet the XBox version will still be superior.

It should be noted that this game will require Windows VISTA to play.

Edit: Also, it looks like with Vista, Microsoft is trying to launch it as a new platform for games. What better way to get people playing it, then with Halo 2. Also, you'd probably be able to use the 360 USB controller for it. Probably.

From today's Blue's News (http://www.bluesnews.com/)

The update touts the OS's advertised advantages (so that warm liquid running down your neck right now is rain) and goes on to discuss how the game will differ on the PC in the areas of customization and matchmaking.

I still wouldn't use the controller since I'm better in any FPS with a mouse and keyboard.

Yeah. Before any of you go rush out and preorder Windows Vista so you can play Halo 2 on a 'PC', here are some things you need to consider.

The problem is since Vista will have no legacy compatiablity that means you may be able to play Halo 2, none of your older/current games and software will work on Vista, nor current hardware, including your monitors

And Vista is going to have so much DRM on it that ALL third-party drivers will have to be inspected by MS before they go onto Vista, so that means not free programs like virtualdub on Vista: http://www.boingboing.net/2006/01/26/msft_tightens_the_tr.html

Just some things you need to think about before getting Vista.

Awesome. I have to pay a couple hundred in software and hardware updates to play a 2 year old, sub-par shooter that will probably run and look like syrup? That sounds about as awesome as me stapling my groin to rusty lawn furniture.

I'll update to Vista when MS stops updating XP, just like what I did with 98. I also won't play Halo 2, but I think I'm in good company with FEAR, COD2, and a handful of other games, so that doesn't bother me.

Screw this. I can play plenty already with XP, and Microsoft is just using this as a springboard for thousands of people to jump onto the Vista bandwagon.

Vista officially sucks.

I find this funny how MS is treating Vista like the most advanced OS and trying to say Halo 2 is too far advanced for XP. Yet there are games avaliable right now and in the near future for the PC that look and play better than the 360 and Halo 2.

Well, Microsoft has to rope people into Vista somehow. Upgrading from XP to Vista looks like a painful process that won't be worth it for a long while. DRM up the wazoo, high graphics recommendation for the OS alone...

I guess this is more for the people who don't know any better.

Unreal 3 would be a great marketing strategy for Vista since the engine is the most advanced PC title to date.

Man I can't wait to rush out and buy Windows Vista so I can play a two year old shooter with no ending!
