Since there have been numerous DS threads and a lack of PSP threads lately, I decided to create a nice thread to talk about what games you most anticipate for 2006 on the PSP. Please keep any mention of the DS out, as I would like to keep arguments to a minimum in this thread. My picks:

1) Capcom Classics: Remixed

I own the PS2 version, and while there are other methods of playing these games on your PSP, these are directly from Capcom, officially ported with new features and wireless support. Included are some games left out of Volume 1 from the PS2, like Fighting Street/Street Fighter I.

2) Metal Gear AC!D 2

I have yet to get MGA, but 2 looks like a great title that will entice me to finally get into the series. As a Metal Gear fan, I was hoping that it would show up on the PSP, and when AC!D was announced I was surprised. I am glad that it is in fact different than the Solid series, and it is great to have an alternative on a portable, much like Mega Man BN is to MM Classic/X/Z.

3) Daxter

Daxter looks to be like a very good platformer for the PSP, and a great game overall. I hope they keep the gameplay fun, and have some cool unlockables as well. And it will shed some more light on the story of Jak and Daxter, thus completing the series.

4) Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai

I'm not a big fan of the console Budokai games, but this game looks really good and will feature a LOT of stuff, including a stage from the 12th movie. Add to that 18 characters and wireless support, and it sounds like a really fun game.

5) Rockman Rockman! / Mega Man: Powered Up!

Having gotten IHX in December, and played the demo of this great game, I can't wait to get this. It was so fun, and felt very nice control-wise. I really hope they can continue this series, and fix any problems the past games had with these re-makes. And the online mode sounds awesome.

1) Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core
If X-2 is any indication on how they plan to handle sequels, then keep'em coming. I enjoyed 7(even though when I first played it years later as a Greatest Hit rather than it's inital release year)

2) Guilty Gear:Judgment
Considering that Darkstalkers and Street Fighter Aplha 3 max play well on the PSP, there needs to be more fighters and Guilty Gear is hands down most awsomest fast paced 2D 4 player game ever. And this being a new installment further adds to my anticipation because I liked X,X2, and Isuka.

3) Astonisha Story
A Korean RPG that seems to have a similar set-up to Chrono Trigger in terms of battle(from what I've read), and seems to have alot of dungeons and bosses, and being that this is the introductory to the States, why the hell not?

4) Feild Commander
3D tactical military RPG using terrain damage and other factors to win victory....Sounds better than Front Mission

5) Devil Summoner
First person RPG ala Dragon Quest, and lots of battles....YES

1)Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth - as one of the best console RPGs ever made, IMO, and one of the most overlooked ever, I cannot be more excited to get this "revamp"/port. New cutscenes, and a widescreen formatting make this THE game for the PSP that I must have/will have. I don't plan on getting rid off my copies of Valkyrie Profile for the PSone, seeing as my fiance is the biggest VP fan around, and wants to hold on to them for collector value.

2)Def Jam Fight for NY: The Takedown

3)Generation of Chaos - I've always been a fan of this series, and am looking forward to its first stateside release (I really hope NIS continues to support this series over here, since I could care less for their silly comedic strategy games, ie. Disgaea, Makai Kingdom etc.).

4)Guilty Gear Judgement

5)Metal Gear Acid 2 - loved the first one (anything Kojima touches is great IMO), and the second one looks to have improved upon the first game tenfold.

Final Fantasy VII:Crisis Core gets honorable mention due to it not having a definite release date, or even any pictures online leaked. Still want it, though.

Also looking foreward to the Interactive UMDs for Metal Gear, and the "Silent Hill Experience".

Kojima never touched AC!D and never was involve with AC!D.

I meant any project he has anything to do with, even if it's just under his production company (Zone of the Enders for instance).

I KNOW he didn't personally work on Acid.

BUT ZEE GOGGLEZ, ZHEY DO NUTHEEENG!

We get those and Capcom skimps on the Alpha 3 MAx DPad for the mainstream release...I feel somewhat jipped

Meh, then again it uses adhesive glue, I'm afraid of ruining the machine. Prehaps a 3rd party will make a Dpad or something that's like a suctioncup or is all rubber that slips into the crevices. There should be something....however from what I udnerstand, it controls pretty well as is with the default PSP D Pad, better than Darkstalkers.

1) Every Extend Extra - Q Entertainment's spirtual sequel to Lumines, this one should be just as fun. I played an early PC demo, and I was already addicted.

2) Suikoden I + II - This has been one of my favorite RPG series, with these two arguably the best.

3) Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Although I think other games in the series are more deserving of sequels :coughffvicough:, I'm still excited to see what this game will be like.

4) Loco Roco - Although it sounds a bit like Mercury, this one looks very different. It caught my interest.

5) Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - The SMT games have been a nice change for the genre, so this one shouldn't be any different.
