Let's see whose a Harley Quinn fan, I know I am! What makes her so great, or what doesn't? Did the Joker really need a sidekick of his own or not? Is she a villain in her own right?What do you think and feel about her as a character, her past anf present and why she is the way she is? Those are just a few things we can talk about, go for it!

One of the great things about Harl is that she works extremely well either as the Laughing Boy's sidekick, on her own, or chummin' around with the girls. Someone out there (Dini and Timm) has finally realized that well-written and developed characters really work in storytelling! Yay!

She was originally made as Joker's hench-wench/sidekick, and she plays that role very well, but she's also a great villain in her own right.

What makes her great? She's funny, cool, and she's hot. I mean, she's an interesting character, and more than likeable, I agree with Zorbrak, she's hot. I really think that Arleen Sorkin made the character, and she played it perfectly (okay, so she's the only person to play it, but still).

I'll agree, Harley is a well-rounded character that has worked well with Joker, Ivy and on her own. She's got a great design, I love her voice (especially the contented squeaks she makes when the Joker actually shows her brief affection), and her psyche is fascinating. She tries so hard to strike out on her own and be a bad girl in control of her own destiny, but she's absolutely desperate for validation for her actions, be it from Joker or Ivy, which leads to a kind of utter dependence. I love that tortured dichotemy!

One of the great things about Harley as a villain is that she kind of chose to join the crazy night life of Gotham and was not brought into it against her will like Clayface, Mr. Freeze, Two Face, etc.

I totally agree with everything that's been said. Plus, as has been mentioned her psyche is quite interesting. I mean, she is utterly and truly insane! And perky to boot.

Yea, love how spunky she is... She's funnier on the show then in the comics but there's a reason for that. Any who, she has a somewhat warped twisted kind of innonce... ok, that didn't make sense. Thanks just my view...

Harley's one of those villains you just can't hate. She is the reason I got into comics, my first book was Mad Love, from that point I was hooked....

Exactly! Others are twisted, Harley is a complete nut! And yes, the perkiness makes so that she's not just another psycho. :)

It's like this- in issue 12 of Harley Quinn when she shot Lewis, I was completely surprised and hated that they were killing him off, but I just couldn't find Harley totally guilty, and she was pretty much the same way. Yeah, she's beyond crazy but from her point of view everything's alright, no matter how bad...

anywayz, I have loved Harley since 92 when she was forst introduced, and still do to this day.

I enjoy her solo adventures, but WB seems to have an itch to overdue it at times

yes, i like her w/ Ivy better than Mr J--wait, what the heck am I saying???!!! I dunno, I could never decide, I think she goes well w/ both of them , but I will say that she anmd Mr J were made for eachother, even tho he wont admit it.
anywayz, b/c I get off :confused: on a limb here, I just wanted to say that I love herley and she is cute and awsome, but not as awsome as catwoman, batgirl, or supergirl, but I do like her slightly better than ivy, mostly because she's funny and blonde (even tho she's not a real blonde ;) )

I am definitely a Harley fan!! What can I say that hasn't already been said? I just love her!! :D She is one of the most interesting and fascinating characters in the Batman universe( especially as far as villians go). SO I like her more than Mr. J? No. You can't like anyone more than Mr. J, he won't let you! :p
