Last semester I took a Three-Dimensional Studies class (Perhaps I'll take and post pictures of those at a later time), but this semester I had to take a Two-Dimensional Studies class. Regardless, I've only been in the class for two/three weeks and we've done a butt load of work. Most of which I find I'm oddly proud of! So...figured I'd share. :p
Element Designs - We took White, Grey, and Black construction paper and cut 'lines' and/or circles to create a design in which you wouldn't be able to tell which color was the base color (background color). If you look close, you can tell...however when you step far away the colors blend better. I just thought some of them were neat.

Emotional Designs - Using the same principle as the Element designs, we had to create an abstract representation of various emotions. We weren't restricted to lines and circles in this one, see if you can guess which one is which emotion. :p (The emotions were Angry, Confusion, Joy, Peaceful, and Strong)

Lastly...
Abstract Gradient Scissors- We took a lamp and lightly sketched the exaggerated shadows of some scissors numerous times all over a page. Once we were done, we'd go back and fill in each and every single shape the crossing lines would make with a Black to White gradient. You probably wouldn't be able to pick out that they were originated from Scissor shadows had I not told you, but I thought this was a cool project (even though it took for-freakin' ever!). Mind you, the actual finished project couldn't fit in my scanner so this is just a piece of it:

More in the coming weeks. :)
