#5 is Mariah Carey's "My All". #3 is Whitney Houston's "It's Not Right".
(Cowers in fear for what 4Kids might turn Musa's big song into... after all, they did get rid of Diaspro's whole "I hate Sky and I hate Bloom" bit last week, as well as a Musa/Stormy tilt. Luckily, a certain GreatSaiyaman777 may be our savior yet... once again, email him for details. Or, for that matter, check the current top item on this page (http://animecauldron.com/dbzuncensored2/updates/index.html).)

Dude, this episode ROCKED. It's now my second favorite, "Army of Decay" still holding the #1 spot.
Musa was simply amazing. I love how much she's developed. They've dropped most of the horrid slang and turned her into a genuine character instead of trying too hard to make her look like the "cool rebel." She's easily slid into my favorite fairy spot, with Layla and Stella duking it out for second. Speaking of Layla and Stella, both of them were also excellent. Layla is truly the perfect friend for Musa.
The flashback scenes were well done. Not too long, not too short, giving just enough info to let us in on Musa's life, yet not so much that the younger kids in the target audience would get bored. Plus, young Musa is so cute. So. Cute.
I was happy to see the Stormy vs. Musa scenes cut from the last episode make an appearance as the beginning of this episode. Granted, Musa's little weather dance spell didn't make as much sense without Layla teaching it to her, but whatever. At least I got to see my fight.
Musa's song, "Music in My Heart," was beautiful. I don't care what the original was like. This was a spectacular song in its own right. The lyrics and music were both lovely and the vocals excellent. Not an ounce of hip hop to be seen, just a nice ballad-type song. My only wish is that the Singsational Magic Musa doll had this as one of her song options!
Musa and Stella's "This Is the Beat" was also awesome. It's a good song for those two to collaborate on, complete with cute dance moves. I was worried that segment was going to be cut and very happy to see it at the end. Layla's dance (with I believe Mirta and Francis) got the ax, but of all the things to cut, that would have been my choice for what went. This is Musa's episode, after all. I would have liked to have seen it, but you can't have everything.
So all in all, a spectacular episode. Anyone who thinks Winx is shallow and all about fashion and boys needs to check this one out and then eat their words.

I's so totally with Darcy on everything she mentioned! GO MUSA!!! Yes! I called it right! The 4Kids cut shuffle with Stormy and Musa cut from "The Wrong Righters" was included in this episode! As much as I love Lisa Otriz voice actress talents (Musa/Icy/Digit), I've never heard her sing before so I was a tad worried, and I think Musa's song tribute, the first song her father sang to her mother, was AWESOME!!! I was crying my eyes out! YEAH LISA!!! I'm so impressed! You go girl!

I've heard the original versions (thank you, Winx-Club.de! :anime: ) and it will be interesting to hear the American songs once I play back the episode.
Why do I have this feeling that in Season 2 they've done a lot of major improvements of Musa's character? :)

For some odd reason, my local Fox station had some audio and technical difficulties during the Winx episodes. Fortunately, I still got to see most of the episodes without much problem.
I'll say it again, Musa is getting a lot of development this season and this episode was the best yet for her. They must really be trying to make up for pretty much shafting her character throughout the first season, because she has been amazing thus far. I really liked her background story in this one, especially with how it affects her relationship with her Dad. I was pleasantly surprised to find that he seemed more jazz than hip-hop.
And WOW! I had no idea that Lisa Ortiz could sing so well. And she's been a favorite VA of mine since the Slayers TV series. Goes to show you can always learn something new about people.
Overall, this was my favorite of todays two episodes. Very nice.

Incredible episode!
No Bloom! Or almost no Bloom! Just one random member of the audience, anyway. Weird seeing even Francis getting a bigger role--and Francis just rocks more now!
"Magic in My Heart" was a great song, and touching. "This is the Beat" was a mediocre song, but it was still very cool to have Musa and Stella doing that duet!
I thought the scene with Brandon hitting on every breathing female was hilarious!

This episode started off really well, with a battle between Musa and Stormy... big ups to Musa for the victory, there. She's really coming into her own.
I loved the story about Musa's family... so romantic, and yet so tragic too. (Always works out that way, it unfortunately seems.) The argument between Musa and her dad, in which he threatened to pull her out of Alfea if she performed, was acted with great fire and emotion. Basically, everything in the first half of this episode pretty much rocked.
It quelled a little in the second half. For someone trying to shed the hip hop/punk image, Musa's choice for her performance outfit didn't help. I was still pretty surprised at how good the performance of 'Magic in My Heart' was. Better than expected, that's for sure. And LOL at Stella tripping as she came out on stage for 'This is the Beat.' She is so a blonde. :p
I have no idea, though, why I felt Stormy just felt tacked on as an antagonist during the concert. For some reason, I can't buy the fact she's there just because she wants to make Musa look bad. Maybe in this case, I was expecting something much more? Eh...
7.5 out of 10 for "Magic in My Heart." Review of "Exchange Students" coming tomorrow night after I watch the tape!
#5 is Mariah Carey's "My All". #3 is Whitney Houston's "It's Not Right".Right on both counts! Anyone up for trying to figure out the other four?

Here are my thoughts on this ep:
1. At the beginning of the ep, I thought Musa did a great job going up against Stormy on her own!:D
2. I really felt sorry for Musa when she got into that big argument with her dad.:(
3. In this ep, we learn all about Musa's parents, how she lost her mom, and why her dad hated music so much after that.
4. I thought Brandon & Sky's fire-dance was spectacular!:D
5. I thought Musa sounded lovely when she sang.:)
6. I liked how everyone joined Musa to use music to defeat Stormy and save her dad!:D
7. Musa & Stella's duet was great!:)
Finally, here's my favorite dialogue of this ep:
Musa: Stormy has left the building!:D
This was a great ep! I give it 5 stars! I also gave the poll 5 stars too.:D

For some reason, I can't buy the fact she's there just because she wants to make Musa look bad.
It's summed up by Mirta in Exchange Students: witches are all about pride. Stormy, even with her amped up Gloomix powers, was beaten by a mere sophomore fairy. So she wanted to avenge her hurt pride and what better way to do so than by humiliating Musa in front of most of the realm? Stormy is definitely the witch that would be most likely to do this. Darcy's too smart for petty vengeance when she has bigger things to do. Icy has grown to where she's more on Darcy's intelligence level (and likely wouldn't do anything without Darkar's say so). But Stormy's still very vengeance-driven and has the strongest need to prove herself, so she goes after Musa when and where it hurts, though ends up failing again. That's how I see it anyway.

Very strong episode. It was neat to see Stormy trying to handle things herself.
I kind of thought the moment of her looking in the mirror was very well done. I love the range of emotions on Stormy's face.
I do like this episode, but I'm not a big fan of Musa's musical direction... So tha's why I think I like "Exchange Students" better. Even though THIS episode had more character devlopment.
