Why do they always show crappy ones???

They show Judge Dredd and Batman and Robin ad nauseum, but I haven't seen a decent comic book movie on cable TV in ages. Why can't they show: Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Superman, Superman II, Superman III...not Superman IV. I'd like to see Blade, Darkman, Mystery Men, Swamp Thing...what's WRONG with TNT? BATMAN AND ROBIN???

I'm just mad because I haven't got Batman Forever and Superman III taped yet. Only superhero movies I need to complete my collection.

I notice the same thing with Bond movies. They always show From a View to a Kill, and never Goldfinger, Moonraker, etc...

Because the good ones cost good money, and the cable channels are cheap.

Well, just Superman: The Movie was either on or is going to be on, I forget when it was supposed air since I own it on DVD I didn't bother. TCM has the rights to that. Darkman is on everynow and then, than and its sequel. And I've seen the Supermans on a somewhat common basis. AMC will be showing the original 60's Batman movie.

As for Bond movies, TBS can't do their marathons anymore which showed practically all of them because I believe they've lost the rights to a lot and the reason we're seeing A View to A Kill, Octopussy, etc... is because those rights were purchased at a different time and they've got a little longer with those. ABC now has the rights to most of the movies and have some plan for some event where they'll show one a week on Sundays, or something like that. I don't know when that will start. GoldenEye will be on ABC soon though.
