What's your favorite movie directed by Kevin Smith (I couldn't figure out how to make the poll)?

I would go with the original, Clerks, myself. That is such a beautiful movie...it didn't need big name actors...it didn't need special effects...hell, it didn't even need color. Just a great movie!

ya click the "poll" option @ the bottom..

I to say Clerks...it was funny, it was real...it wasn't silly. (There's a diffrence between silly & funny...)

Mallrats. Has always been my favorite, probably alwasy will be. Chasing Amy would be 2nd, Clerks 3rd, and Dogma 4th.

Chasing Amy will always be my favorite. Not only does the fil hit close to home, but it's just so well done and crafted! Mallrats come sin second, followed by Clerks, then Jay & Silent Bob, then Dogman.

DG, you're just full of Typo's lately? hehe! Its o.k, man..sheesh...Dogman...

Anyway. This is such a hard question. I guess Mallrats, then J&SBSB, Clerks, Chasing Amy & Dogma are tied(Chasing Amy is only so low, because I was expecting a comedy, but it turned out to be MUCH better! But still...I was expecting a comedy..)

A little mod magic, and there's the poll!

Oh, "Chasing Amy." By far.

They all were good and I identify with all of them in a particular way. Mallrats and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back were just fun, Chasing Amy and Dogma possessed incredible depth, and I challenge anyone who's worked retail to not identify with Clerks!

Nootch!

This is an easy one for me. I love all Smith's flicks, but Chasing Amy is by far my favorite.

You're telling me, I live Clerks every day I work!

I'd have to say Mallrats, Clerks, J&SBSB, Chasing Amy, and Dogma, all extremely close...

Dogma is first for me, followed closely by Clerks...

Personally, my favorite Kevin Smith film is Jay and Slient Bob Strike Back. There were so many in jokes that made it funny. Even without the in jokes, it was the funniest movie from this past year.

I've never seen a single one of his movies to be honest. I will one day, I guess.......

Well, I saw JASBSB, that was it.

clerks, the alternate ending for it (actualy, the origional independant ending) is great, but it's out of character for the film and i can see why it was cut :P
anyway, tomorrow or some time i'm gonna go get dogma:SE on dvd. that will be my 3 kevin smith dvd (clerks uncensored, clerks, then dogma)

I think Jay & Silent Bob Strike back is best.

Okay, I chose Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back because it fuses the other four films into a cohesive world. My favorite parts are where all of Kevin's other characters made cameos (especially the end when they came out of the theater).

I've enjoyed them all, but I'll have to go for Chasing Amy. It's tragic romance done well... and I've kinda lived the Holden experience.
