View Full Version : TMNT Season 4: Thoughts and Speculation (Possible Spoilers)
With seven days until the season resumes, I thought it'd be a good idea to discuss the season as a whole. So, what do you think?
Something I've noticed this season is how the writers have subtly changed their approach to the opening teasers. For one, the turtles don't narrate nearly as many of them as they used to (just five in the fourteen episodes we've seen so far), and when they do, it's rarely the turtle that the episode focuses on. Speaking of those, what does everyone think of the concept of opening narrations itself? They've been doing them since the beginning, yet I don't remember people ever discussing them. Should they continue them? Ditch 'em?
Also, how do y'all think the season will end? So far, we've had Bishop reclaim control of his agency after nearly losing it, Hun's rise to power, and Karai's vow of revenge against her father's enemies. On the side of the angels, we've had the introduction of Raptarr; the return of Nobody and Casey's Mask; and, most importantly, the apparent end to Leonardo's funk. Where does it all lead? I have an idea, but I want to hear yours first. (Karai and Leo form an alliance to take the Purple Dragons down.)

we still have a few loose ends and bits to be revisted:
1. April's lost uncle Auggie
2. Elintean closure (Avians, Mer-Men, Beasts)
3. an upcoming time-travel ep w/ Renet
4. more run-ins w/ the Rat King
5. the true pact between Bishop & Stockman (an organic body no boubt)
6. the goop that drained into the sewers in "Aliens Among Us"
7. Bishop's rogue mutate from "Dragon's Brew"
8. follow-up on the "manhunt" for the TMNT (fallout from Aliens Among Us)...perhaps a Season 5 lead-in?
what I'm hopeful for:
1. the introduction of Slash
2. a team-up f. Turtle Titan, Silver Sentry, Nobody, & Raptarr:D
3. we haven't seen Leatherhead or Prof. Honeycutt this season have we?

I wouldn't count on many of those being resolved in Season 5, it's going in a way different direction than you think. I'm talking series-altering direction. If you want to know nothing at all about it, don't read below or don't read the news at http://www.ninjaturtles.com for today.
4Kids Entertainment issued the following press release regarding season five of the TMNT cartoon:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Fast Forward catapults Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael 99 years into the future where they emerge from the sewers and no longer have to hide. The year is 2105 and the action heroes sport a whole new look as they face amazing adventures and square off against foes in an exciting world of cutting-edge technology.
4Kids Entertainment will support the series with an extensive licensing and marketing campaign to launch in July 2006 with a new toy line, featuring a full spectrum of toys including action figures and role playing products from master toy licensee Playmates Toys.
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Fast Forward promises more fun and exciting journeys from our favorite ninja characters," said Alfred R. Kahn, Chairman and CEO of 4Kids Entertainment. "The evolution of the Turtles moving out of the sewers and living among humans is a story arc that provides the right combination of intrigue and comedic material to capture a wider television audience and extend the brand. We believe our fresh approach to this successful series will continue to entertain the legions of Turtles fans as well as appeal to new viewers of 4Kids TV."

That scared me at first, but then I relised that it would only be a story arc. I mean, the "monster and mutants" arc sounded a LOT diffrent than how it turned out. This will probably only be 6 episodes long.

Apparently it's the whole season.
Who wants to be the finale of this season will have the turtles getting sent into the future. Right when they get there they see something that horrifies them that eludes to the next seasons focus and then it says "to be continued"? I'd bet the farm. If I had one. This show writes itself...
