I was at the Half Price Books store today and found some old Looney Tunes videos. I got "The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie", (an old slipsleeve case, not that new one) "Bugs Bunny's Creature Features", a Turner/MGM video "Bugs!", and 2 Public Domain tapes: "It's DAFFY DUCK!"from some no-name distributer called Horizon (Includes "Scrap Happy Daffy, "Coy Decoy", and "Ducktators"...I bought this to see if it has the black and white "Coy Decoy," but I don't know yet.) The other 'Cartoons R Fun" PD tape has "Porky's Midnight Matinee" and..."many more", whatever that means. The title toon appears to be redrawn judging by the cover, so I'm going to take my chances on the "many More". for 98 cents, I won't complain if it sucks.

According to my Video Guide, the "many more" are "Ding Dog Daddy" and the redrawn version of "Notes to You". "Midnight Matinee" is the color-toned version.

I managed to get the book "WB Animation Art" at BJ's yesterday(one of those club-type stores that my mom has a membership to). It was only $20!

Speaking of PD tapes, I rented a video from my library recently called "Daffy Duck at War", a public domain collection with some of his war-themed cartoons. It included "Scrap Happy Daffy", "The Ducktators", "Daffy-the Commando", and "Conrad the Sailor"! All of the prints were very scratchy, and "The Ducktators" was edited.

Well, turns out the Daffy tape had three sepiatone cartoons, but it was interesting to see "Coy Decoy" in some form other than redrawn or edited computer color. "Scrap happy Daffy" was an okay print in sepiatone, the format ruins "The Ductators". Plus, half of "Fin and Catty"
The Porky tape...wasn't even a Porky tape. The tape itself had Bugs Bunny on the label, but included three surprisingly un-PC Little Audrey Paramount cartoons: "Tarts and Flowers", "Butterscotch and Soda" and "Song of the Birds".

I got that at Barnes and Noble for $20. I was just as shocked.
