I don't like how they simplified the designs, but it happens...

And an interview with Sweet Kiss, who will be doing some of the voices in an extra DVD only episode of the upcoming Today in Class 5-2.
IOW, they will NOT be doing the voices in the actual TV series, but they will do some image songs. (Promoting Saaya Irie's voice instead of her bewbs lolz)

So what is this TOKKO about? On the site, it looks like the staff behind GTO are in charge of this series. At first glance, it looks like we have a story about a brainy neat-freak having a free-spirited punk girl as a girlfriend.

If this show is about their relationship, it looks like something I can check out. :) I like these odd couple type of shows. :)

it's by the creator of GTO.

It's about cops and a group who hunt demons.
The manga is very gory.
I'll see if I can find a few pages to post.

So the punk girl and the suited guy are cops? Are they partners too? :)

The guy is a cop who knows nothing about the true nature of the demons, while the girl is in the group of hunters.

Anyways, obligatory offensive marking since there is a bunch of gore. The appearance of the girl with the red hair:

This is from Chapter 0, btw. A prelude of sorts.

Wow, Today in Class 5-2 somehow smacks even more of Elementary School Harem in those screenshots from the anime. I was kinda hoping it'd have a less-polished, less-saturated look, but I guess they are going highlights += 50% instead. Suddenly less interesting to me now. I would have prefered a more FLCL-esque (IE washed-out yet natural) palette to the show. Ah well, I suppose this is like what I wanted out of Ichigo Mashimaro TV (glitch ost, grittier designs) - completely unrealistic.

Just like to point out that I am extremely excited about Mardock Scramble.

For those that don't know, it's based on a novel about a girl who can control electricity (Or something like that)

It's made out to be very futuristic and such, so I'm even happier that they chose Range Murata to be the character/costume/prop designer for the series as well.

And it's Gonzo/Murata at that which has been pretty excellent so far. Better still, it seems to be tapping the side of Murata that's only been hinted at in his visual work at anime studios so far but has been a overwhelming part of his overall artistic output, and that's his blend of realism via a mix Frank Lloyd Wright-eqsue post-modernism and 50's sci-fi gloss. Really, I'm looking forward to it, and if it's awesome, a fast turn around out of which ever US studio (*cough*Funi*cough*) gets it.
