I was listening to that BareNaked Ladies song "If I had a Million Dollars"..and so...

What would you do with a Million Dollars?

I'm a loser, so, I'd probably put it in the bank, continue to work my normal jobs, then when I feel my entire bank account is reliable, I'd buy a nice car, then live off the interest. :p :D

A million dollars isn't a whole lot of money in the long term. You WILL lose a lot of it over a decade, whether by spending or taxes.

Though if you count each dollar one by one, it'll take you two years. Good luck, kiddo! :D

~If I.....had a mi.......llion dollAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRS!!!! {last note done in a high trill. You've heard the song!)~
Gee, I don't know. Charities. Save some for college. {shrugs} I'm not really interested in any new things....and, as the immortal Beatles say... "Can't Buy Me Love"!

Though, even without a million dollars, I doubt I'd get the last one... :(

The only thing i really would use it for is college. I guess i'd save the rest for a rainy day. It sure wouldn't spoil me.

My father actually won a lottery to the tune of $750,000 a few years back. He gets a check every December of about $25,000. We get lots of nice Christmas presents :D

If I were to get a mil in one lump sum I'd probably put half away in a high yeild CD or something for the future. The rest would be used to pay off debts and give some to family members and charity. I'd still have to work, but at least I'd feel better knowing I had a cushion in case something really bad happened.

Now if I had $10 million...

--quer--I mean, Danielle! nearly slipped there--you're plenty loved. [oohs and kissy noises are heard from the peanut gallery] Oh, shaddap! She's half my age, for the love of Emil Sitka!

If I had a million bucks, I'd--
*pay my 2.5 grand in student loans all at once
*look into self-publishing opportunities (packages ranging from $500 to $1600) and forget about mass mailings/rejection letters
*give ten percent to the church

I figure that's roughly fifteen thousand right there. The other 85 G's goes into the bank, where it can earn interest and hopefully be enough to put my neice and future kids/grandkids through school.

Wow! That's as cool as that Nielsen-thingamajig I just learned about a couple of weeks ago! :D

Thank you, Belch, for not calling me you-know-what. (You know...you-know-what! Oh c'mon, you-know-what.....you know....what? :wakko: ) You're off of cleaning duty for the Valentine's Day party. ;) Aaaaaaand, who's Emil Sitka? Oh yeah, that guy.

Wow! You must be really good at math; I *am* exactly half your age! :D Don't worry, I won't tell...

I'd pay off my student loans, buy a decent car, give to a bunch of charities (the thing I hate most about being poor is that I have little to contribute), take a monthlong trip around the world and put the rest in the bank.

Heh...I love that song! :D

Hmmm, a million dollars...I'd buy a car and then put the rest in the bank for whenever I needed it...of course, I'd probably find some use for it everyday and run out of the rest real fast...

Hmm, I sure could use a million dollars.

I'd pay off my college debts first. Buy a car, move to Cali, buy a house. Buy some stuff I want. And then invest the rest. Pretty boring stuff. :)

use about $100,000 and live comfortably for the next few years, relatively work free (yeah, I'd keep a part time job at least to keep going crazy!) and sink the rest in CDs (bank CDs, not music CDs) and retire early, living off the interest that is earned monthly.

-I'd be rich.

(ba-dump bump, CHEE!)

Nah. Let's see..... being me, I'd probably keep most of it as a way of feeling financially secure. Maybe use it as a back-up plan in case I don't have enough money for university. Get a car. Art supplies. Can't think of much else.

ooooooh a million dollars! :) i'd use whatever i needed to pay money back to the army paying for my school. wohoo! no active time! wouldn't that be nice?? :) then i'd use the money to start some kind of buisness....my sister's a buisness major....she'll think of something good. and whatever money is left goes into a savings account with lotsa interest. :D

I would do some smart investing, so I could 25 times multiply my dough. Then I would proceed to buy DC and Marvel Comics, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and all of Warner Bros. Yes, a tad realistic, but it is a life goal... :wakko: :wakko: :wakko:

I'd get a big TV, a DVD player, a nextgen game system, and probably save most of the rest of it to help me out at school and have a good start on my "real" life

Maybe a modest new car, too.

I'd probably snap up some Tiny Toons animation cels. ( Especially ones of Fifi and Shirley )
I'd get so many in fact that if I stuck them all on the wall of a really long corridor and ran really, really fast, I could watch an entire episode :)

And then my million would be gone...

Large amount of cels $900,000
Really long corridor $90,000
Frames, nails etc $10,000

I'd actually put half of it in the bank immediatly, or maybe more. I'd then pay off any student loan I'd have. Then I'd take about $100,000 - $200,000 of it, and just blow it all on me, as well as friends and family. The student loan, though....I'd want that done away with ASAP...

I would spend it all on the books I want, save some for travling, give some to charity, and bribe all the batman/superman people into makeing more episodes and dvts.

If I had a million dollars:

1. Pay off all outstanding debts. Everyone says this for a reason. Getting sent those yellow or pink past due notices is very aggravating.

2. Buy a nice car. Something dependable, with good mileage.

3. Buy a small house. Nothing too fancy, but some place I can say is mine and can stay in the family for generations.

4. Put about $100,000 to $250,000 in the bank just to be safe.

5. Give money to charity every year. People say this, but I actually know what it's like to be homeless, and I don't wish that on anyone. Though you can't give money to everyone who asks, because there are some crooked individuals who try to scam me all the time.

6. Take the rest and go wild. I'd be able to start and support my video game/anime/tokusatsu habit for life :D
