........Dateline January 23.......

Oh glory!
Once again National Pie Day visits upon our pastry poor lives.
What national this occurs in is for you to guess.

So, how are you going to celebrate Pie Day?
May I suggest you enjoy some pie?

For me this is enough excuse to make a pot pie.
I find making a pie crust is a quick way to use up a daring amount of butter before it goes bad.
And for dessert, maybe I'll have another pie.
Possibly banana cream if I can buy some ripe bananas, but if I can't it will probably be something chocolate.
Sure, I could make a cherry of apple pie easy enough, but one is better as a cobbler and the other as a crisp.
Oh, please don't tell anyone I said that. I'm in enough trouble with the National Pie Council the way it is.

Whoa, that's bizarrely freaky. In my English Comp II class today, we had a quiz about Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death" and I didn't actually read it. The question was about the major event that was being held in the story, so I quipped, "A pie contest".

I love coincidences!! They taste so fruity sometimes~

I can't wait for Pi day though, 3/14. Now I like Pi, but not pie.

I would've gone out today for some, if we didn't have a winter storm warning this morning (rain and snow and a little ice), so I stayed in for most of the day.

I'll remember to have some tomorrow. Actually, I can have pie any time I want, since I work in a bakery at the local Shop-Rite (we sell them in slices, as well as whole pies).

Anybody know when Cake Day is?

Also, would it kill them to sponsor a few pie fights?

Aw crap I've been craving a chocolate silk pie lately too, today would have been good for it then. Oh well maybe next year. See, that's what I started to make, then I realized I didn't have everything for the filling so I had to wing it. Luckily I don't do too bad having to improvise.

But don't fret none. When you're ready for pie, pie will be ready for you.
At the grocer's, the baker's, the candle stick maker's.
Well, maybe not that last one, but plenty of places.
