Hawkgirl vs. Wonder Woman

Who do you think would win in a fight between Justice League's very own Hawkgirl and Wonder Woman?

In the JL cartoon I'd have to say Hawkgirl. Wonder Woman is a rookie in the animated series, so Hawkgirl would have no problem defeating her. WW still has to learn more tricks of the trade. In the comics....well...that's another story...

I don't know either. My guess is that being a princess, she is likely to be kept from the extremely rugged Amazon stuffs to do her royal duties.

On the contrary, it would probably make her more apt to attempt to prove herself by taking on the "extremely rugged Amazon stuff."

As in the animated universe, Wonder Woman is a rookie of sorts so I believe that Hawkgirl could kick her butt.

Im surprised that Hawkgirl is getting so many votes.

I think its probably a credit to how well shes bieng handled
by the series producers and writers.

Shes becoming one of my favorite characters on the show as
well. Whod a thunk ?

However - despite Hawkgirls superior experience and battle lust
I dont know if id be able to give this fight to the Thangarian.

Other than her power of flight and her enhanced mace she is just a regular woman . Perhaps due to her thangarian genetic makeup she may be slightly sturdier than the average human woman - but if the follow the comic books, shes still human.

Wonder Woman while technically a rookie has power to rival Supermans and though untested perhaps she is a trained amazon.

I think Wonder Woman wins this one by sheer overwhelming power.

I agree with Spirit. The fact that WW is "New" on the show is still a Shocker to me. She's one of the living Legends in the comic book. And her strength is great. I wont be surprised if they do battle. The whole thing with WW, which the show has'nt seemed to grasp yet, is that she's very competitive, more so than HG.

My sentimental choice is Hawkgirl, 'cuz she's cool. My practical choice is Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman may be a "rookie," but that's in terms of being a costumed superhero, not as a warrior. It's pretty clear (to me, at least) that she's perfectly capable of handling herself combat, and of adapting Amazonian fighting techniques to new enemies (e.g., the invaders in the first story arc).

Besides, I'll lay odds that WW has had to train with people wielding maces. I'll even stretch that to include training with people who are flying through magical means. Also, while Hawkgirl's mace has that technological electricity thingie around it, I still don't think it's enough to completely knock out WW. She's supposed to be almost Superman-class durable, right?
