Does anyone know what the schedule for Febuary on Boomerang will be?Since next month is the release of the Pink Panther remake. wouldn't make sense to have a weekend long Pink Panther marathon or make him the character of the month?

I think they're fixing the schedule for Febuary. I hope the Pink Panther and Friends doesn't move to a new time, because I'm still taping him.

Guys, please don't post e-mails to individuals outside of TZ, stuff like that should be adressed privately.
Discuss the topic all you want, but don't fall into a flamewar realm. Just because the network has a horrible schedule doesn't mean rules of netiquette should be forgotten.

the Marc's email is on the company website. And since Boomerang doesn't have a direct comment area on their website, what's a fan of the channel supposed to do? I'm not the one who kept running ads hyping the fact that Boomerang is the only place to see Looney Tunes - and then yank them off the schedule (outside of a 2 a.m. Toonheads slot).
I do think it's pathetic that he's booking 4 repeats for two shows during a day. It's like the folks at Boomerang don't seem to understand that people own DVRs, Tivos, VCRs and DVDRs - especially people who are willing to pay extra to get a channel like Boomerang. If I want to see a show, I'll set the timer. My friend's 7 year old knows how to work Tivo.
It just seems like Marc's scheduling of Boomerang is something he slams out an hour before he clocks out for the weekend. Does he really watch the channel cause what's the point of watching when every other time you turn it on, you're getting Dexter's Lab or What's new Scooby-Doo? Ever during the 8 hour cycle, you only saw the same episode 3 times a day.
Would it be so bad to alter the weekend schedule so Saturday and Sunday night they run The Jetsons instead of the Flintstones - thus being able to keep their "only place to see the Jetsons" ad running?

This is not the place to post e-mails because we don't want TZ, as a whole, to be part of this battle. We want to be simply a place where you are allowed to voice your thoughts.
If people really want to e-mail the schedule guy at Boomerang, they'll do a search for the address, or contact you privately. There's no need to bring it here, it can only cause conflicts between members.
The "company talk" at Disney Board was removed for a reason, don't make us do the same here.

And seeing how you're in control of this board - will you please post a link to the Boomerang schedule? I'm getting sick of people posting stupid questions about how Boomerang hasnt' shown Inch High Private Eye in years - even though it was on Boomerang that week.
PS here's the form letter from the programming suit:
Hi Joe,
Thanks for your mail.
We appreciate your comments and will keep your thoughts in mind going
forward.
Across the course of a year series naturally go through license windows.
We need to work with these.
The schedule will change-up again each month and we do have some
exciting stunts and premieres coming up across the year which I think
you will enjoy.
Best Regards,
marc

While I don't think that Baby Looney Tunes, He Man and the Masters of the Universe, and Whats New Scooby Doo belongs on Boomerang mainly because they are so recent and in some cases I don't think the fit the quality of a classic cartoon, that being said, Dexter's Laboratory started about ten years ago and had a strong following and were staples of Cartoon Network which made them what they are today.
I think part of the reason is though that they want to change it up to keep the lineup fresh. Most HB cartoons didn't have long runs so if they didn't change things from time to time, people would be watching the same thing over and over again and HB has also been putting a lot of footage out on DVD so people can watch shows whenever they want so if they take a show like the Jetsons off for a month, people can still see the shows if they want to buy the DVDs. My only objection is that the shows shouldn't be too recent and they should try to keep a certain level of quality to the station.

They need more old school shows. It's not 'coming back to me' seeing shows that aren't even a decade old on the channel. They need the shows that haven't aired in a long time:
- Richie Rich
- Pound Puppies
- Fantastic Max
- ANY Scooby Doo Show besides A Pup Named, What's New? And Where Are You?
- Pac Man
- Shirt Tales
Or any show from the 80's that hasn't been aired in a long time.

Or Tom & Jerry cartoons outside the theatrical run (besides T&J kids). :tomcat::jerry:
Shirt Tales was also on a while back as well.

Because DL apparently now qualifies as a 'Classic' cartoon. It won't be long before the other Cartoon Cartoon shows (Johnny Bravo, Powerpuff Girls, Cow & Chicken, I.M. Weasel, etc) start making their way over, as well at shows like 'The Batman' and 'Justice League', and Boomerang loses sight of being an old school cartoon network.

I heard Justice League will be joining Boomerang soon actually.
It's official... Boomerang is going the way of Toon Disney. It's becoming CN2. In truth I don't mind that because I love 90's cartoons and some of the early 2000's stuff but at the same time I hate that CN is once again throwing out classics.
Leave Boomerang alone and make CN2. It can't be that hard to make another channel. Nick has several.

I want flinstones back. I want jetsons back. I want two hours of looney toons (not baby looney toons) on. I'd like to see Smurfs on more......
I used to try to watch Flinstones on Boomerang as often as I could but now I barely watch it.
what happened to the one show where pebbles was a teenager? that was pretty funny.
oh, and as long as superfriends isnt cut, im happy.
i'd also like to see the original dragonball out there, but its a longshot..

Why schedule a true classic which no doubt has "lasting entertainment value" like the Flintstones in a decent hour or air 3 meesly Looney Tunes when you can air What's New Scooby-Doo 4 times daily?
Possible upcoming premieres: Justice League, Johnny Bravo, Powerpuff Girls and maybe Teen Titans. Could see Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries down the road as well. They won't go too modern as long as it's still called Boomerang (this is mainly due to contracts with providers). BLT, Duck Dodgers, He-Man, Batman, Superman, JL and TT are based on "classic" characters. Dexter and PG were both Hanna-Barbera series in the beginning (and in Dexter's case is over a decade old now) and many classic H-B characters are featured in episodes, but they do in alot of CN originals including those still in production (ie: Billy and Mandy) .

Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm show. They just ran the complete series (along with Flintstone Comedy show) in December.
snap! should have looked at the schedule a few months ago..

Because Boomerang now sucks :-( I never cared for those made-for-Cartoon Network shows when they were on CN and I sure as heck don't care for them now. Not to say others do or don't either, but I don't think Boomerang is the right place for them at all.
Bring back more of my fave characters like: :bugs1::droopy::coyote::sylvester:daffy:
Hopefully ToonTopia/In2TV will bring back some of these good classics -- you know the ones that CN or Boomerang should never have taken off the air in the first place!
