  well...it's back to school for me tomorrow so less time for fun if any at all :( so I'll be on the boards less and whatever, ughhhhh I go to a public school that is actually hard...I'm on a 7 point grading scale NO FUN, I have to do 2 senior exits, we have to pass ALL of our classes or we don't graduate which are by the way ridiculously hard, classes are an hour and a half long and alternate everyother day (A-day, B-Day) we get homework ALL THE TIME, its usually a good 3 hours worth, they took away summer school to get us to work harder (make more people flunk out) they took away our exam exemptions for perfect attendance students, and gum and drink privelages a while back we have 22 minute luchs that is our only break my bus when I am not taken to school by my friend, comes at 6 am I have to get up around 5 and OK I'm rambling but I can honestly say I HATE EVERY ASPECT OF MY SCHOOL...oh and wait here is the best part ,MY class of 2004 is the only one that has to do all this 2003 just has to do one senior exits but only has to have 22 credits to graduate we have to have 28 while class of 2005 doesn;t have to do senior exits. we our their "guinea pigs" they want to see how many of us will snap under the pressure

Sounds like my Catholic high school, except that's how it is from the first day of freshman year to last day of senior year. Straight A's or else you gotta take exams (not to mention get grounded...parents think I don't apply myself when I get a B  ). Rise and freakin' shine at 5:00. I don't even get bus service, so I gotta hop in the car w/ my mother and be driven a half hour before the sun rises. I gotta deal with the uniform skirt and all that other wonderful things that the clergy think my classmates should wear.

I thought I had all 60 of my community service hours (a Catholic virtue/requirement for graduation) done this summer. They then decided to jack it up an addition 10 just to spite us . They also changed the policies so that if any of the kids have more than five absences, they lose exemption from exams, even if they have straight A's . I have a seven-and-a-half hour school day, too, on top of all of this other stuff.

I know where you're coming from. I'm in same boat as you are..sophomore right? At any rate, if I can make it, you can.

Can't wait til senior year; once you're accepted to a college, you can blow the last marking period or two off. :D :D.

--but the payoffs are immense. In college, social opportunities abound ...and, well, let's just say there's plenty to do after hours if you're creative and have a lass who's willing. Plus there's the college job--get into doing something you like, e.g. writing for the campus paper or a nice job in the library, and you can gain valuable experience for after graduation....
