A blast from the past...

The fourth and final season of Yu Yu Hakusho has finally arrived. Memories of a Spirit Detective, the Dark Tournament, and Sensui are just that: memories. How will our headstrong hero deal with the revelation of his heritage? Find out in "Reunion of the Bandits" at 5:30 AM Eastern Time on Cartoon Network.

Previously on Yu Yu:

The showdown between Hiei and Shigure ended up in a double KO. Mukuro, however, wanted to learn more of Hiei's past and tapped into his consciousness. Hiei, as a cast away baby, was found and brought up by a troup of bandits. However, his bloodlusting ways became too much for those he had considered family and was once more shunned. Looking for blood, he displayed his tear gem to bring attack upon himself... until one day he lost the gem. Realizing how important the gem was to him, Hiei set out to find it. He went to Shigure to have a Jagan implanted. While recovering, Shigure taught him to wield a sword. With the aid of the Jagan, Hiei soon found the Ice World and visited, only to find that his mother had died and his lust for the blood of the people who had cast him away had disappeared. There, he also learned of the existence of his sister, Yukina. He soon went to Human World where he met Kurama and soon after Yusuke after stealing the artifacts of darkness (that was so long ago, wasn't it?). Mukuro then revealed Hiei's gem and gave it back, then set to heal Hiei and unveiled, and we see that Mukuro was actually a woman!

Episode summary courtesy of www.yuyuhakusho.com (http://www.yuyuhakusho.com/):
Just as Yusuke and Hiei were forced to confront their demons, Kurama boldly ventures through his own past. Yomi, one of the three Kings of Demon World has summoned his former partner in crime to his inner sanctum. What secrets haunt Kurama? And why has Yomi prepared for the worst?

Spoilers: If the episode has already aired you do not need to worry about using spoiler tags. If you must comment on episodes that have not yet aired you will need to use spoiler tags due to the number of people who have not seen the rest of the series. Also keep in mind that mods have to read these, they are people too and don't need to know about future details that could destroy their enjoyment of the episodes to come.

PHW's YYH Reflection: Kurama episodes. We all know what that means: phw's inner fangirl is very happy :p What past lies between Kurama and Yomi? A nice dramatic angsty one, of course.

I must say that I really love character development from this show because we get to see so much that we just didn't understand before at the begining of the series. I have not seen the show yet but I know I will enjoy it. 5/5 for me already hands down.

Yes character developement is always good. I really like Kurama's backstory, not as exciting as Hiei's but good. The show was kinda dull but still entertaining. I don't dislike yomi as much as I dislike mukuro so it was a nice break. I love that the writers put Kurama's family into his plot finally after so long. But where'ss his little brother during the mothers trip? I kinda wish yusuke wasn't doing the talk for the next episodes, it kinda takes away.

1. I slept through this one. My parents owe me for making me go to bed late because I was watching my sister.

2. Was this the one with Kurama's mother's wedding? I hope I didn't miss that one.

Yes it was.

My only problem with these eps is the dub discrepancies, though there are less in this episode as opposed to the next ep. I always watch these eps with the subtitles because Kurama is much more badass in the Japanese. But yeah, Kurama eps are Kurama eps and we all know that makes me happy :D I love how Kurama has a foxtail on his backpack, too. That makes me laugh.

4.75/5

It's more or less a 30 second blurb that showed a few shots of Shiori leaving in her dress and Kurama and Kuwabara clapping happily. It wasn't a whole lot to miss, honestly.

Hmm, I'm surprised at how few posts there are this week...

See I didn't bother posting because I ended up only seeing like the last 5 min. and what the hell can I talk about if I only saw that much. This is why I hate the time slot that Yu Yu has been given.

They might as well put the damn thing on at the middle of the night because they are already screwing the viewers by putting the show on that freakin early. Oh man this still makes me mad. I know that's what these talkbacks are for but isn't it better to see the dang thing then to read about it? It is for me.

I know I should be happy that the show is just on to begin with but I know that they could have given it a way better slot than what it has now. I mean anyone of the 6 a.m.-12 p.m. slots could have been used. What are they showing that can't be replaced? NOTHING. I can't even remember what I saw now. Man this really sucks.

Hey purplehairedwonder this wasn't directed at you. No offense. It is directed toward the people responsible for putting the show at the grave-yard time.

I totally agree. It seems to me if ratings was a problem on Toonami, they could have stuck it in between some of the higher rated shows - like Naruto or One Piece. I bet the ratings would have been a lot better, especially with this final arc. But if wishes were fishes there'd be no room in the sea for water...

But these are some of my favorite episodes *sigh*

I cannot believe that you do not like this episode, Rabi. I do think that this was more exposition so it's understandable. I have to say that the next episode is a better episode since we do get a few reunions.

Perhaps you would like to know that we will get some Yusuke/Raizen action soon. Just you wait.

Nice episode.:) Althought Kurama is my fave character of the show, his past life wasn't as interesting as Hieis'. I mean, we should all know that Kurama kicked ass in the past before going all-human like. Yeah, I know that's beside the point of the episode but I find it hard that "my" Kurama has been blackmailed into doing something he doesn't want to have any say-so in.:crying: Well, can't wait 'til next episode.:anime:
