has anyone seen the previews for this? it looks sooo good. looks like ol' tim is going to give us another great movie, but with any luck, soulbocker will be doing three and four, keep your fingers crossed!!!! but with all seriousness, what are your thoughts on this promising movie?

Frankly, my only interest in it is the possibility that Mark Wahlberg might have a nude scene. Hey, Heston did in the original! :P
Actually, I'm curious to see what kinda spin Burton's gonna put on it. I wonder what's been changed from the original.

Tim Burton has yet to fail me in his movies, and I am sure this one will live up to his excellent standard.

Well Burton failed me on Batman Returns. Keaton, yes. Phieffer, yes. DeVito, no. Okay, I know casting isn't directly his responsibilty, but Devito stunk. Didn't like the fairy tale feel to it either. This isn't Nightmare Before Christmas/Edward Choppermitz territory, this is Batman. IMO.
Still better than the next two though........

Didn't like ol' Choppermitz either...

Back to the question, Battle Of The Planets I'd like to see revamped... which leads me to a personal plug.....

Alex Ross is salivating to get his hands on this franchise for an updated version. But it seems there are too many problems to get the rights to it freed up for any new projects. Bummer.
