I usually start from the end point and figure out which ways it can go out from there, then I start to mess with the start point and whatnot.... Im not totally sure how I did it. Even though I just did it recently..

That took me forever. You gotta follow whichever color you're on, and into the next panel, and just try to get the blues to follow a path. Kinda hard to explain.

I hated that puzzle. :( I was sooooo happy you didn't have to solve it to advance.

It's the only "real" puzzle in the game, and a challenging one no doubt. Basically, just switch the things around until they all connect. I usually start from both sides, and try to meet in the middle. Half the time I solved it by accident; after getting close I just switched a random one and they all connected.
The Moral of the Story being: Keep trying and use common sense and you will get it. They give you alot of time and if you don't give up on yourself you will get it eventually. :)
Wait a minute: you don't have to solve it to advance? News to me... If you want to get all ten points for the mission you do, I'm sure, so still try to go back and do it.

:( Any more bad news? Like I had two sides with the blue like matching but I couldn't get any others.

My suggestion would also be to start at both ends, since often they'll give you clues as to where they'll lead to next, so you can get an idea of where they come together in the middle. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it.
