Being two of the most recent heavy hitting plotform stars. And using the same engine, related companies...

...why hasn`t there been a game featuring this duo yet?

And while we are on it, what about a Sonic vs. Mario game since Nintendo and Saga seem to be friendly these years since the death of the....Dreamcast;_;

These four character could match eachother and would make two very fine games

Super Mario vs. Super Sonic

Clank vs. Daxter

Amy vs. Peach etc.

Because Jak and Ratchet are by different companies

they just use the same technology in the game design

I honestly don't know why there would even be a vs. game for it. It would be a waste of time.

No it wouldn't. It'd be fun to see Jak in action again against a fellow platformer.

In my opinion it'll happen when both companies run out of ideas for each franchise.
So, expect it soon.

Diffrent companies?

I thought Insomiac and Naughty Dawg were releted. Judging by the Rachet car in Jak X and a few other things in both series. Not to mention the buddy platform system.

I have never played a Jak game (minus Jak X, which was fun) but I do like the Ratchet and Clank games. It could work, and like one other person said, might happen once the franchises really run out of ideas (have yet to play Deadlocked, but many people said it wasn't as good as the other 3 Ratchet titles.) It could be cool, but I'm not sure....

They're not so much as related as they are best friends, so to speak, so their share technology as well put in hidden secrets from their respective games to the others.

As for my opinion on this topic...
*shakes head* Frankly, I like it better when Jak and Ratchet are seperate. I admit, it's because for most reason, I'm sick and tired of the whole Jak vs. Ratchet thing, especially during Jak 3 and Ratchet 3's release when everyone was like, "OMg!!1!11! JaK vS. RatChet!!!1111" It really, really annoyed me.

But truthfully, I'm really in the boat that the Jak series should stop (I can't comment on Ratchet series because I haven't played any yet outside of demos). Let Naughty Dog work on something new. Four games is enough, any more and it'll end up cashcowed and more then likely, not as good as the early ones. With four games generally well accepted, in the future, it'll be all that more meaningful and classic. Repeatedly making more and more, in my opinion, could ruin it. That's just how I feel, it's wishful thinking, I bet though...

Given how successful the the Crash/Spyro crossovers went...

Sidenote: Sonic has, like, a 75% chance of being in the next Smash Bros.
