Well...mine pretty much sucked.

I was originally going to go out with my roommate and his girlfriend to a nice big party until I found out that in order to get in, it was going to cost me $105. Let me repeat that, "It was going to cost me $105"!!

So, I decided to go hang out with my friend Andrea. Well, that pretty much sucked because most of her friends are "loser, deadbeat" types who smoke a lot of pot and later did lines of coke in the bathroom. Yeah, not really my thing so I left and now I'm eating cookies...mmmm...chocolate chip.

Well, as long as we're on the subject of bad New Years Eve's.

Uhm..my girlfriend is Frickin' weird right now...I don't know what the heck is her problem? All I've been trying to do is make things right, & then she says "I'm sorry"..then goes right back to freaking out. Tonight, when the ball dropped, at was our one minute, where everything was right, where it was all o.k. Then..she just feels so empty. I have a habit of drawing what I feel, & so I wipped out my pocket handbook, kinda drew how I felt, she walks over, looks at it, & goes right back to being weird again.

To all the women out there....'PMS, please...CUT IT OUT!'

I spent it with the family. It was more sedate than last year; no one got rowdy or hurled, but we did have a few drinks. Those who know me know my passion for mixing drinks...I combined Melaleuca Lucious Peach Sustain with Smirnoff Ice, then with Boone's Pina Colada. That plus a margarita and a wine cooler was enough to put me to sleep by one a.m....
[goes to fridge, looks at all the bottles of hootch still left, and heaves sigh]

It was pretty cool, very low key, just hung out with a few friends. Jammed around with the guitars, watched Ghost in the Shell (what a freaky movie) and that was basically about it. Actually, I wound up leaving early, cuz I was tired and didnt really care about the new year.

It was just another day, to be honest. I did all of my daily routines.

2001 threw a couple of surprises at me, so I expect 2002 to do the same.

For better or for worse.

I usually go to big parties, but all the big party-throwers were out of town this year. So I just hung out with friends, watched movies, and got giddy with champagne. All told, it was exactly what I needed to start a new year off right, since 2001 was particularly heinous for me...

Went to a party at my friend's house (His parents are frickin millionaires and they're never home), stayed overnight with a bunch of people. I discovered that some of my friends are dorks with alcohol because they get drunk after maybe two beers. Was feeling kinda weird all night, think I freaked out my boyfriend :p

Well, i just stayed up and watched the ball drop at my house. No parties or drinks, or too much fun for me. Pretty much just another night.

The highlight of the evening was my radio station having a special "101 Most Spun of 2001" playing of 101 cool songs! Number 1 was Godsmack's Awake.

I hung out with some of my friends. There was good food (mmm.. taco dip) and a keg! (relax, of root beer).

One of my friends had Grand Theft Auto III for PS2 so we played that into the wee hours of the morning seeing who get the most stars and still avoid all the police cars. Good Times.

Mine sucked, too. I was dead tired after work Monday night and could barely keep awake for the boards, much less anything else. When i posted on the Adult Swim board that the grey color scheme was making me sick, it was quite literall. I tried to go to bed early, but damn fireworks and noisy people made that impossible. And then I kept on waking up to go to the bathroom. How to put it delicately? Let's just say I was losing alot of body fluid, but not #1. But I wasn't fully awake to realize how sick I was becoming until I threw up a can of root beer I drank after work.

So that was my holiday. And that's why I didn't get on here yesterday, because I was lying dying in bed for about 15 hours, inbetween getting up and losing more body fluids. Heck, not even pepto and 7-Up would stay down. Aren't you glad I shared?

I have no idea what was wrong with me, more than likely exhaustion from over work. But I am feeling better now, but I am feeling a tad worn out as I have been unable to eat for 2 days now.

Yes, I do believe it is stress related. You need to set aside more free time. Aside from all of your DVD watching, internet use, TV, etc,.

I'm sorry to hear that calhoun07, you should have some chicken soup.
there's something about Chicken soup that helps people that are sick or feeling bad.
I hope you feel better and get back on track.

Well, my New Year's Eve was a pleasant one.

I ran in the New Year with my grandmother.
Since my parents went to a New Year's gathering and my brother was in New York with his girlfriend for the ball drop in Town Square, my grandmother was all alone.

So I decided to cancel my plans and spend my New Year's with her.
She did come all the way from California to spend the holidays with us and also it was too cold outside.
We had hot coco and watched the ball drop on TV
It was sweet and nice and I'm grateful to have spent it with my grandma.

Have a great 2002 everyone

Yeah, well, when you clock in about 80 working hours in a week, what free time you have for DVD watching, internet use, TV, etc, is pretty darn trivial.

And I am sure soup would have come up just as well, I'm afraid. :(

After about 15 hours of sleep yesterday, I am feeling better now, thanks!

Like Danielle, I hung out with the Marx Brothers on TCM. But I wasn't able to make to midnight (quite odd for me; usually I'm up until 1:30 most any night) and crashed before 11:30.
