If "Nooooooooooooooooooo [/Vader]!" weren't cliche by now.......that's how I'd respond.

I seriously doubt that Konami and Kojima would entrust the film to this guy, especially since he seems to specialize in low budget B-movies based on B-level game franchises (I mean, the Alone in the Dark, House of the Dead, and Bloodrayne games weren't exactly critically acclaimed or Shakespeare or anything).
Odds are he was pulling this "might be directing" thing out of his butt (he's been known to fabricate BS before, not to mention seems to hate the video game community immensely, what with his ignorant hateful blog complaining that fans hated his films), and if they DO ever make a movie, Konami and Kojima will probably go with a more reputable director than this hack (for example, Christophe Gans directing the Silent Hill movie, which looks like it will rock).
Until something official is announced, it's all just ignorant blather from a bitter little talentless man.

Kick his ass Kojima! He'd put Solid Snake in a post-apocalyptic future where only German people walk the streets and Metal Gear videogame footage is shown in every action scene. I'd better stop there before Uwe runs with the idea.

Or it could Kojima's twisted sense of humour kicking in this side of KUWABARA!

Gorden Freeman, stop thsi man!
Stop him with your crowbar of rightiousness!
Also. I really don't think Uwe Bowel making a MGS movie would really tarnish the franchises image. I mean seriously they could always make another MGS movie with another company.

If Kojima was looking for a director he choose immediately John Carpenter. Even if Carpenter's latest movies weren't that great, at least he's better than Uwe.

I think angry MGS fans will call for Dr. Boll's head if this does happen.

Makes sense. Why else do you think the main character is Solid Snake?

Oh hell no. This better be some made up desire of his, or I'll be very upset. Why can't this guy just go away and leave while people don't want him dead [yet]?

Metal Gear Solid is too complex of a game to be given to the feeble hands of Uwe Boll! To make this game into a movie, you need someone who specializes and understands the ins and outs of action, politicial intrigue, and hard-edged drama. Uwe Boll might get the action part down right but political intrigue and hard-edged drama? Please!

The title of that website perfectly describes this situation if it were to occur -__-

Secretary: Uh, Mr. God, sir...
God: YES?
Secretary: You have a Mr. X-Fed who wants to see you, sir.
God: *sigh* Send him in.
X-Fed: Why why why why why why why why why why WHY?!?! ...Whyyyy...?
God:...I'll get back to you on that.

Seriously, Uwe Boll needs to be flipping burgers somewhere. If there's any justice in this world...

Kojima wouldn't let this Boll direct it, he'd just do it himself.

Uwe Boll will not be able to make any more films after the ones he currently has in pre-production. The German tax loophole he was exploiting to get financing for his productions has been closed.
Beyond that, Kojima has to give his personal permission on any MGS film project.

Is there a reason why Boll keeps directing films based on video games? Is he a big gaming fan?
O.K., I'll say it: I want him to stick around because I have constant fun laughing at him.
And has usual, Bloodrayne had suck big time. If Kojima knows what this guy has done to video game movies, i know he doesn't want part of it or probably thread at Konami on not making Metal Gear 5 if Uwe make the movie.
Like king_of_doom said, Kojima's first director in mind is John Carpenter because come on people, mostly Kojima have grab all his ideas thanks to Escape from New York and L.A., or probably he will contact the guys that where involved in The Rock.

The world could always use more comedies, but Boll has made enough.
Gordon Freeman, stop this man!
I'll try my best.

He was quoted as saying that he doesn't like video games.
Confusing, isn't it?

this makes me very, very happy!
The fact that Kojima went and said "Absolutely not!" instead of just "No" helps a lot.

Kojima is a very bright and wise man. Heh heh, Uwe is happy he's nominated for a Razzie Award. :D

It would never have happened anyway. Boll only gets his hands on licenses because the publishers that own them are grubbing for money.
