Now...the show never explored Slade's past, so here's some fanart that might shed some light ;)

Some pictures can really speak words. Or in this case, prompt ideas. I like the way the pictures gives a nice prompt to a possible - and quite viable - origin, but doesn't dicate one. It allows the audience to take that step.

The idea is very TPM Vader posterlike, with the shadow forming the future character. Fun and nicely coloured. Any critical comments - watch the hands! They lack the finish the rest has!

I have to agree with SJJ on this. I also like the shadow hinting at his future self. Though, the bit with the right eye is a kinda creepy companion to the left eye's tear, but it works. Keep up the good work.:)

Thanks SJJ ;) I never actually thought of the fact that the poster doesn't dictate a past, but gives a possibility. hehe, and yes, the poster does resemble the vader one :D

And yes, you've caught it, my weakness is in the hands, i can never draw them well =/. Its so hard.

Thanks! I was going for the creepy, spine chilling feeling with this picture heh, glad to see it worked. The tears were so fun to draw.

What a great picture Deathscythe! Is this for the Slade fanfic you said you'll start after the Lost Season is done? In any case, I love the shadow. It's like those ones that came out with Star Wars, The Phantom Menace that had Anakin with a Darth Vader shadow. So cool...

Woa. . .I don't think I have ever seen Slade portrayed in this light before. Usually, I always see Slade as someone so evil that he is beyond redemption but this picture. . .It shows that he is a human being just like everyone else and that he made mistakes which eventually piled up to the monster we all know now. This picture says so much, and I could probably write on, but I'm just going to say that this is truly awesome.

I tend to make it a rule, that every villain is a human being in one way or another, and that they weren't inherently evil from the beginning. It just makes them so much more interesting. I haven't read the comics, so im not sure how slade became the way he was, but i'm certain he was a human being and made his own mistakes.

Thanks btw ;)
