A love for Nightwing?

A think (could be wrong here) that most peeps, myself included, really like the Babs and Dick pairing. But, I'd still like to know the opinions of people that do, and do not like that pairing. And to see who else people prefer Dick to be with, if anyone. Should it have been Kory, Helena, maybe even Clancy? Do tell!

I agree with you, Barb. I've always been a fan of Babs & Dick together. I was pumped when they went out in Subzero. I was always waiting for them to get together in BTAS, but if I remember correctly they didn't. (I missed most of TNBA so I don't know much about that.)

I also don't like the idea of Bruce and Barbara together.

I think they are great together, and are just one of those couples that will never be together for long, but everyone knows it will work out in the end (or in this case...), and are simply perfect for each other (Ross and Rachel anyone?)

In the episode where Dick quit as Robin, he was with Barb. The episode started out with Nightwing helping out Robin (Tim Drake) with some thugs. The rest of the episode was a flashback to when Dick was getting fed up with Batman and finally quitting as Robin. We also see Bruce telling Barbara that he is Batman and that he knows that she is Batgirl. Anyways, he was with her in that episode, but I'm not sure how serious the relationship was.

Thank God I'm not the only one who thinks that. Whoever came up with that concept needs to get a better idea of what the characters are really like, because anyone who really looks into this stuff knows that Bruce and Babs could NEVER be together in a romantic relationship.

Dick and Babs were meant to be together, and I'm pretty sure that's one of the last good things Chuck Dixon did at DC ;)

I think that the Bruce/Babs pairing is interesting and makes for good drama, but I hate it. It's a good twist that explains alot, but in the long run I think most batfans want to see things work out between Dick and Babs.

I've never ever understood the whole Bruce and Barbar thing. It was suppose to be that she had a crush on him as Batman and all that, admired him. That's all fine and good, but love relationships?....no thank you, it's just kinda, too wierd for me. Though in BB they kept making little hints here and there that Babs and Bruce had had a thing..and it bugged me. Then again, if age were a reason for not liking the Babs and Bruce pairing, that can't really work, because isn't Barb 10 years older than Dick? At least in some stories she is, I could be wrong.

I agree that a romantic fling between Bats and Babs would be a mistake. But I think the writers knew it too, which may be why they inserted it into the BB continuity. (At least, that's what I tell myself.) I mean, how better to indicate that the characters got really screwed up in the meantime than to reveal that they did something that twisted? It's pretty clear from the way Gordon and Wayne treat each other in BB that there is a deep, deep wound there.

In animated continuity, they're about the same age, maybe a year apart. In the comics, I believe Babs is about 4 or 5 years older than Dick. Chuck Dixon said the official number once, I'll dig it up.

I'm for Dick and Babs all the way. And the whole Bruce/Babs thing really grossed me out. I always wondered what Tim thought. The girl he really thought of a sister suddenly being his mom maybe? Hey, for all it's worth, Babs shouldda had a fling with Tim in BB the relationships were so messed up! (Ok, THAT would be a little too drastic, but you get my point) Babs and Dick were made for each other and I'm a big fan of it. (as I stated many previous times... I'm sure your all sick of me saying that) I'm just glad other peeps finally have come forward and said that they hated the Bruce/Babs thing. For the longest time peeps would agree with it. Any ho, if Dick couldn't be with Babs, then I'd want Clancy to marry him. I like her... but I think she'd be better with Blue Beelte. lol. Could you imagine Blue Beetle nd Nightwing (w/ Babs) living down the hall from each other? I hated Kory. She reminds me of Brittany... and that's not a good thing. Ok, my rant's done.

Dang, Maxie speaks for me yet again. While Babs and Dick would work like a charm, Babs and Bruce would only lead to pain... and interesting drama. That's probably why the producers slipped it into BB, since going the easy, rosy way can be boring.
