The season finale for JLU was classic no doubt but.....I got the feeling that Lex Luthor could have been a way BIGGER threat as the president of the united states, rather than just creating a campaign just to piss of supes, I mean think about as president of the united states, his power would be limitless since USA is the most powerful country in the world. He could manipulate the public ( like he did in Clash from JLU) in so many ways, so the question is Lex luthor more threatining as the president or as a common criminal?, either way I'm gonna miss how he manipulative luthor seen in here :(

I really can't see President Luthor as a real threat, at least not in the way he was during Superman: TAS; there's just too many restrictions involved with being the P.O.T.U.S.

As for "common criminal" Lex, he suffers from being one of the many--there's really nothing special about him, which is why his tenure as a super-villain in the first two seasons of JL failed, in my opinion.

So what do I want for Lex? Personally, I'd have been fine if he'd been written out of the series after A Better World, with perhaps a snippet or two of him rebuilding his life after his pardon; that said, I really liked him in The Return, where you really couldn't tell which side of the fence he sat on. Had he remained like that: a reformed man tainted by suspicion, it'd have been swell.

he even said something like "do u know how much power i would have to give up to be president"

for foreign affairs and stuff, the prez has the most power in our country. but domestic stuff and power, i can guarentee there are more powerful business ppl and politicians pulling the strings.

President Luthor would have at least been more interesting than having Braniac turn up yet again...whether or not he would be more of a threat is debatable.
