Ah yes, I was thinking of Super Mario Bros. 2, where his overalls and hat were green. Now, both Mario and Luigi's overalls are blue, and I really don't like it.

Only the game manuel art. In the game his overalls were blue and his shirt and hat were green. The All-Stars and GBA versions also use this color scheme.

The only time in-game that Luigi has ever been those colors is in the All-Stars version of SMB and SMB2 of Japan (on the GBC version his shirt is brown but it's the same basic idea I suppose).

And I too liked the white hat and overalls with green shirt so I'm glad they sorta have that on SSB and Melee but honestly I like the "natural" look with the jean overalls, green shirt and green hat. Though I do have a fondness of the Mario with hats and overalls their color and their shirts blue (like the SMB 2 manual art and the DiC cartoons. They did something similar for SMB the Movie and I really love the sprites in the All-Stars version of SMB.

Yeah... that's me a endless void of SMB knowledge.

After seeing those artwork pictures from Mario Football/Soccer for Gamecube, I have to say Daisy ;). But then when I select her as a character (I was gonna type "play with her" but I felt that might be crossing the line :D), her voice pretty much makes me flinch in horror. So I'll say for now that Bowser is the best, since I'm always fond of the bad-guys.

E. Gadd cracks me up. Wario is also an interesting character (and his games are fun), but Waluigi seems totally unnecessary to me.

I would like Bowser Jr. for being one of the more interesing Mario villains if a) his inclusion in Mario Sunshine didn't reduce the story to more "Bowser somehow kidnaps Peach" fodder and b) his existence didn't possibly contradict the existence of the Koopa Kids.

Which brother do I like best? Man is that a tough decision! I love all the Mario characters very much. I grew up with them after all. I did have a period where I was ignorant and disliked them because I liked Sonic too much, but now I'm pretty equal with them (though the Mario games are leagues better than Sonics.) In Mario Bros 2 and most of the other games which let you choose between Mario and Luigi, I normally prefer Luigi just because of his cool jump and in Mario 64 DS his air twirl is very cool. :) In Mario Kart (any version) Toad is my all-time favorite. He knows how to step on the pedal! But like I said, it's very rare for me to dislike Mario characters. The only moments that have stood out are Waluigi (they could have made a better name) and while I did like Paper Mario, I thought they didn't put too much effort into the characters of that title.

Yeah freakin' right! I used to think Shy Guy was cool too. But then one day, I was playing Mario Party 3, for my N64, and I played one of his Gambling games. The game was who could eat their cake the fastest, a little chomp chomp or a big one 5 times it's size. So, I bet my money on the big one. But then, the big one doesn't even touch his cake! AND THE FREAKIN' LITTLE ONE WINS! Then the Shy Guy started dancing and a mallet fell on my head. As if losing all my money wasn't enough. Then LUIGI WON THE GAME! He was cool in the old-school Mario games, but in games like Party, Tennis, whatever, he becomes a total prick.

I'm surprised both Daisy and Peach aren't crawling all over him! Heck, if I had to chose to be one Mario character, I'd be him, kill Mario, and get my own video game franchise! Then I'd start to date Peach, get married and have two beautiful children, named Nathaniel and Superfly.

Like many others, I was frequently player 2 when playing Super Mario Bros. 1 and 3. So, I have to pick Luigi. He may not be the big hero his brother is, but he's a good guy with a good heart. I'm not crazy about him being depicted as a total scaredy-cat though, even though I like Luigi's Mansion. I remember the first time I heard that Super Mario 64 didn't have Luigi in it. I thought "They can't do that". It seemed inconceivable to me that they could make a Mario Bros. game with Mario as a character but without Luigi. Of course, they did title it Super Mario 64 and not Mario Bros. 64, so it wasn't exactly false advertising.

I always thought it would be cool if Luigi had white over alls green shirt and hat. Than I would have to say my main man the might mushroom of might Toad ( I hate all those toads thats in the game there is only one). Toad should have been in SMW cartoon.

whether u find it boring or not is besides the point, people vary, what you think is boring, is not boring to other people. the point is, he just wanted to know who your fave brother was, but people somehow couldnt understand the meaning of that and listed characters NOT included in the poll, if he wanted to know who your fave character was BESIDES mario and luigi, then he obviously would have included them in the poll but he didnt therefore the question was whos your favorite character out of mario and luigi. the fact that he said character and not brother doesnt change a thing since both mario and luigi, as well as being brothers, are also characters.

Ah, yes, Mario. Forget Master Chief. Forget Tommy Vercitti. Mario is the man, the leader of the greatest video game franchise in gaming history. I've always liked the Mario character, and I really think he could carry a light-hearted adventure anime where he fights a team of Bowser and Wario in the great Mushroom Kindgom. Maybe I should write that...;) And, red is my favorite color.

Luigi is great too. Deceptively similar, but different in attitude and style.

Peach has always been a favorite, especially after Super Smash Brothers Melee (no one can swing a racket or a pan like my princess :anime: ). You don't see that many sweet female characters in games (most of them are "tough chicks" or "vampire babes"). I would love to get a DS and play her game.

And, don't forget Daisy, whom I came to love from Mario Tennis 64. She's cool too!

Yoshi is the bomb. Forget Barney, this dinosaur rocks the house! :p
