While looking through the old threads from the week I was mostly gone, it seems that Friday night's showing of Tom & Jerry had the edited version of "His Mouse Friday". For those who caught Friday night's showing and have seen the original, did they cut out some of the scenes with the cannibals? I could care less about this airing, since I aqquired the original a few months ago (thank you Larry T.!!! :))

All the footage was there, but the cannibals and Jerry were muted...apparently this is not an uncommon version, but it is an uncommon film for CN to show in any version!

I'm pretty sure everyone knows this, but I'll say it any way. The print of "His Mouse Friday" released on laserdisc and video is the same as the one on CN the other night. When it was released in Japan on DVD, it was uncut with the cannibal dialogue, but the screen zoomed in on Jerry, to remove the short cannibal, who says "Mmmm! Barbecued mouse!" But thanks to Larry's fancy editing equipment, I now have a complete crystal clear copy!

Larry seems to have done this to "The Reckless Driver" (a Woody Woodpecker cartune) print that's been going around.
