Private Snafu on CN!!!

Hey, they just showed a Private Snafu cartoon on the Toon Reels Toonheads, called GOING HOME!!!! Of all things, I really wasn't expecting Private Snafu. Other than the Toonheads Special, I think this marks the first time a Private Snafu short has been on CN. Guess this is why this had to come on late at night.

Oh well, it was worth staying up to catch SNAFU. BTW did anybody see anything in that cartoon that was offensive enough to require a 3 am airing? I didn't, but then, maybe it's just me....

Welllllll, dollars to donuts the late-night rationale was based on the constant picturing of the overly-chatty Private Snafu with busty, leggy lovely ladies... With the capper being the one scene with just their legs sticking out from behind a bush (though in OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS), implying SOMETHING had been happening behind that bush... And "the conglomerate" REALLY doesn't want their most consistently bankable asset (the classic Warners and MGM toons) tainted by anything controversial (Adult Swim can do what it wants... hopefully sink)

At least "Going Home" didn't have any nudity...

Yeah, this was a great ep., especially the Snafu short. I am kinda surprised that it had to be shown at 3 am though. Like Sogturtle said, Adult Swim has lots of stuff worse than that. Could there be a...*shock*....double standard? :rolleyes:

You know, it occurs to me that Private Snafu would be an excellent choice as a subject for his very own Toon Heads, preferably an hour in length.

I like Adult Swim, myself(at least the "post-modern" middle portion), but, yeah, there IS a double standard there.

A few months ago, I remember seeing a Tex Avery catoon with anthropomorphic animals playing baseball on Adult Swim.
