I know a lot of people have been asking about a few certain things, and now thanks to these press releases, we have them!

Disney Channel January Highlights (http://cabletvtalk.com/showthread.php?t=3203)
Toon Disney January Highlights (http://cabletvtalk.com/showthread.php?t=3204)

Here are the big notables summarized, as far as we're concerned (to see what else is mentioned, go read the darn press releases above!). Naturally, all times listed are Eastern Standard.

Disney's The Emperor's New School (Series premiere)
DC - Premieres Friday, Jan. 27, time TBA, regular timeslot TBA
TD - Premieres Monday, Jan. 30, 3 pm, regular timeslot Mondays 3 pm
First time we have a non-Jetix show premiering episodes the same week on Toon Disney and the original Disney Channel. Anyway, the idea sounds hokey to me, and it already gives off vibes of a kids-only show.

Disney's Brandy and Mr. Whiskers (Toon Disney premiere)
Special airings Sunday, Jan. 1 at 4:35 pm (part of network's New Year's Day marathon promotion) and welcome-to-TD 3-hour mini-marathon Saturday, Jan. 14 from 1 to 4 pm.
Series official premieres Monday, Jan. 16, 8 am, regular timeslot Mondays 8 am
So the dog and rabbit are now lost in the jungles of TD's programming. Ha... wonder how long that'll last, given the network's turnover ratio.

Disney's Lilo & Stitch: The Series 'Crossovers' Marathon (Toon Disney and world premieres)
Five-hour Lilo marathon bookended by airings of 'Stitch: The Movie' at 2 and 5:30 pm, and in-between are the Toon Disney premieres of all four 'Lilo & Stitch' crossovers. That includes the world premiere of the crossover episode with 'Recess.'
Those of you who missed out on these rare specials crossing over with Jake Long, Kim Possible, and The Proud Family finally get an opportunity to see them at last. I don't have TD, so I'm stuck waiting until DC airs the Recess crossover. Though given how mediocre the first three crosses were, I'm not holding my breath.

A.T.O.M. (Series premiere - Jetix on Toon Disney)
Premieres Monday, Jan. 30, 8 pm (one-hour debut), regular timeslot Mondays 9 pm
Jetix continues it's 'extreme' edge with A.T.O.M., delayed from September. It's never a good sign when your show's debut is pushed back.

TD is adding Brandy & Mr. Whiskers. OMG. I would rather them air DuckTales or Gummi Bears

Does this mean Brandy & Mr. Whiskers is cancelled? Gosh, I hope not. I adore that art style.

A second season of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers is in production, though there's no confirmation of when it will start airing.

Well, I love Brandy & Mr. Whiskers and while a move to Toon Disney is usually a sign of weakness, I’m just glad that it may be on more. Most of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers’ old airings on Disney were very early in the AM on Sunday and Monday, so this move could at least permit fans of the series to watch episodes easier. I’ve heard loose talk that the second season of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers is going to start airing on the 16th of January in Canada, though since I don’t live in Canada, I cannot confirm it.

I did get Kevin Manthei to reply to a PM about Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, as his company provides the music for Brandy & Mr. Whiskers. I think he only replied because he mistook me for someone important, though I suppose that’s another issue. He said they began working on the musical score for 18 episodes; though I’m not sure if that’s 9 episodes with 18 stories, or 18 episodes with 36 stories. When I replied and asked him to confirm, I believe he realized that I wasn’t who he thought I was, so he didn’t bother replying.

Er, regardless, I’ll be watching the Toon Disney airings of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers; it’s the least I can do to support the series I love.

When does Lilo & Stitch the series start airing on Toon Disney? I heard sometime in 2006. Does anybody know when?
