Am I the only one who's noticing it? It think we've seen an increse in Newbies as of late. Hmmm....So, before we wip out our "initiation sticks" and "beat them" ;) :D , Lets give our newbies a chance to say hello! So, if you're new...Who are you, & what are you doing here? :p

I noticed a smorgasborg of newbies coming in around the time JL premiered. I think it's been slowing down though.

Well I joined Dec. 20 after visiting the site and looking at the forums for awhile. I'd read things and I'd have my own views on it, but I couldn't share them. I've never belonged to a message board before, so this is something new for me.

Once I came up with my name and found a good pic for my avatar I decided I would take the plunge and join.

I don't read comic books on a regular basis but I do really like the animated shows like BTAS. Feel free to check out my profile for more about me.

On a side note, I'm kind of excited because I got to change my status title today! :D

I guess I'll introduce myself here. I was invited here by Mike (G.I. D'oh) and I liked the place so I've been posting some. I'm not really big on posting on boards as you can tell since I signed up in October and I only have a few posts.

Anyway, my main interests are archaeology, history, foreign languages (mostly French), and piano. My favorite types of music are Classical and Celtic. I guess everyone can tell how nerdy I am so I'll stop for now with my interests. :p I'm from West Virginia and I have a bad tendency to make fun of my homestate so please ignore my ramblings! ^_^;; BTW, on my profile, I'm not lying about my grandpa...

Hi! I'm new here because I joined during the winter break, since I had nothing else to do!

I like DBZ, BB, and Gundam. In real life, I like swimming and I'm very studious.

I don't have my avatar yet because I had it, but then I lost it when I formatted my hard drive. :( But I'll find the same pic on the web (again) and make it into an avatar when I have the time and patience.

But I'm Nick, and I'm an alchoholic...no...wait...I'm a Television master Control Op...ssorta the same thing, but we get less respect.

I like the colors blue & green, and I'm paranoid. Red is SO out to get me.

I like to chalange authority..which gets me into trouble....but it's FUN!

I'm not really a newbie, since i was over at Dick Grayson's original Batman Beyond Board with the one-color backgrounds... (first it was blue green... then gray. Then those nifty graphic backgrounds. See, I remember :p)

But I've been looking for a new home for my terminal geekocity (you like that, huh?) and somehow I was led to TOONZONE...

The CNX boards are going to be merging with these boards sometime in the future, right? I think someone mentioned that awhile back.

hehe...CNX is a big Newbie-roaster place. Its a great place to cuss, and let off some steam. Which is kinda funny..'cus there are a lot of Power Rangers & Digimon fans on those boards. Funny how they're all so violent? Then again...Digimon is all about making cute little animals fight eachother in violent battles...hehe... :eek: ;)

Hello, my name IS actually Joshua Lane and I'm a "newbie" to the boards I guess, but have been a ToonZone frequent visitor for quite some time. As my avatar suggest, I'm a big fan of the Shadow Raiders CGI series and definitely see it as one of those hidden gems that everyone should check out.

In general though, I'm a big fan of cartoons, anime, and other related animation products and will be debuting my own animation site (www.animatedbliss.com) sometime in Februaury I hope. The best way to describe the site is a combination of www.animeondvd.com and www.animationondvd.com with a little bit of my own neat ideas & tricks as well.

Back on the subject of the forums though, I've found everyone here to be the nicest, friendliest bunch of forum members that I've come across for ANY site. I DEFINITELY plan on staying here and posting frequently and hope to build a strong friendship between this site and my own in the future. At least until my site outgrows ToonZone and then I can look down at you all...hahaha...just kidding of course.

I posted on the Batman/Superman/Beyond Board first, so my original intro and stuff is there...probably on the second page by now.

At any rate, finally joined up when the overprotective mother took the Club off the keyboard. :rolleyes: I floated around reading some of the older stuff beforehand.

This is a kind of a return for me; I used to read the board(s) way, way back before Return of the Joker was released.

Heh, the keyboard club...gotta hate it.

I dunno, I guess I was lucky..or not..
I bought my own computer, and got my own Internet access (since my mother had neither) and my mom left me alone..
Course, I was 17 at the time, but hey...

(I'm 23 now...my mom still doesn't care)

I think people are overly paranoid about the internet cause of the bad news stories out there...but it's not THAT bad a place, and I've made alot of cyber friends (I keep hearing about this "Real World" where one can make friends, but I think that's a crock...)

Anyway, welcome!!! You don't have to be crazy to post here, but you do to be me!~!!! Is that right?

HEY! I AM a Digimon/Power Ranger fan :p And not everyone at CNX likes to roast newbies.....just the select few ;)

About CNX merging with the Toonzone boards, I don't even know anymore. Nemalki(the webmaster) hasn't posted in those forums for a while.

I've been a fan of these boards for a while.I always liked to read the interesting conversations between such civilized people.(NOT!!) ;) No,really,these boards are great.I had never been a member of one before and I figured this was the best place to start. I grew tired of not being able to write a response,and not being able to start my own posts.With JL here,I really wanted to be able to share my opinions.

I have a huge family,I'm the eldest of many siblings,and I love to read and write.I'm fascinated by ancient Egypt and I adore the works of the great Canadian writer,L.M.Montgomery.I like to draw in the Timm style and if you're still reading this,you are a patient person,and I thank you hugely. :D

P.S.This may seem like a stupid question,but I have to ask it.My eyes are constantly bombarded by "lol".What does it stand for? :confused:

My real name is Spike, (yes, it's true :rolleyes: ) I am "Married... With Children", and TBW stands forevermore for "The Beloved Wife."
I stumbled across TZ Forums back in November and decided to join up for the heck of it. Sadly, there can be no going back, for the Forums are indeed more addictive than Chee-tos. I'm also a wannabe writer who hasn't written in close to three years. My current project involves trying to find a way to incorporate every major holiday of the year with this DK2 fist.

In some other boards, talking to a newbie increased my ego. :p It made me feel older and more dignified. And they all thought I was to wise. :D

Don't treat me like a newbie, its not like I don't know LOL and LMAO and ROFL and WTF and WTH and IMO and IMHO and BRB and BTW and BS and TTYL and everything else.

So don't treat me that way (seriously). Majin Vegeta has his lion's share of ego and fierce pride, both in the story and in real life. Just read my new years resolutions.
