I saw it for 6 bucks at amazon.com but I've already seen the TNBA episode. Is there any reason I should buy it? I pretty sure the comic has something more than the show, I just don't know what!

Basically, the original "Mad Love" one-shot features artwork by Bruce Timm, done in the original B: TAS style, including several Harley "Dream Sequences" as well as an extended flashback sequence narrated by Batman that shows how she became a Doctor at Arkham. If those aren't reasons to pick up a comic, I don't know what are!

In all seriousness, the comic is well worth your money! I actually prefer it to the episode, which was cut shorter and adjusted for tv. Plus, it doesn't seem likely that we'll be catching much B: TAS or TNBA Timm art for a while!

*gets on his knees and begs for forgiveness* :)

Well so far, I'm convinced to get it....just that now I have to persuade my dad to buy it with his credit card as he's VERY paranoid about buying online. (I'm only 16!) Wish me luck :(

Why do I not have the Lois Lane four pack? Why will I never see the ShadowCast Batcave? Why is it Ebay will never be the solution to all my toy and collectible wants, needs, hopes, dreams and problems???

Cause my parents don't trust online shopping. Can't really blame them, but I do feel your pain.

I would greatly consider asking your local comic or magazine shop to order it (as it was reprinted recently I think) or to see if any odds and sodds stores may have it. Private collectors are usually really greedy, so they probably will charge an arm and a leg.

It's worth buying, but always remember..NOT AT ANY COST ;)

Completely off topic, people, but a solution to your problems concerning paranoid parents.

Get yourself a VisaBuxx card. Seriously. I had to drag my parents up to the computer every time I wanted a book, so for my last birthday, they got me the card. It's a debit card that can do credit card transactions. You put money in (or your parents do), you spend it, but once it's gone, it's gone; no credit in case you go over. Face the music, babe.

Oh yeah, it's a secure site, so don't worry abut when it tells you "Secure Document."

Thanks, it's from a Saturday Night Live sketch.

BTW, I was thinking, why not check out your local bookstore. Some place if they don't have a book they can order it for you from their warehouse or another location and then you could pay for it with cash when it comes in.

If you do have a bookstore order it for you, you have to pay the shipping charges still right?

I'm not for sure on that, it might depend on the place, if I make it out to Barnes & Noble today (I want to get Batman: Animated) I will ask and let you know.

Oh you don't have to, I can simply call them! Also, I just got Batman:Animated a few days ago, its great! I think its because of that book that I'm getting a lot more interested in Batman books suddenly ;)

EDIT:I called them and no, they don't charge for shipping so I ordered Mad Love and Batman:Gotham Adventures. Now that I'm broke again, I'll try to non-violently wait for them

Yeah that's what they told me too. They only had the Batman: Animated softcover, and both copies were not in great shape so I need to go back and order the hc version when I have more time.

The hardcover is definatly worth the extra $30 - 40 bucks it'll cost. My softcover version of Batman: Animated is quickly falling apart as the glue and seems age. It's a great book, too. It's full of these great pictures and it was written. I'll definatly rebuy it...
