I just read an article saying the NFL has hired Mariah Carey to sing the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVI.

Part of me, no make that all of me, wants to see her screw up big time, stamping the end of her "career."

I know, I know, it's mean, it's wrong, it's terrible, but... I cant help it. :p

I think josh has got the right idea here. One of the dining places at my school plays music videos and I saw her singing some religious Christmas song it an outfit that didn't really appropriate for a religious song. Ever since she divorced that old record guy that's how she acts and dresses.

You know, I don't wish bad on Mariah either. What she has done lately with her career is what's made her career suck as of late. If she were to go back to the type of music that made her good when she first started out, she could get the fans and the critics back. My girlfriend has all of her CD's until Rainbow or whatever. She doesn't recognize Mariah anymore as a singer. It's her good stuff that made her great. The woman does have a voice, you just cannot deny that. I think she'll sing the National Anthem with no problems, but if she's smart and respectful, she'll wear something appropriate.

I heard this on the radio news last week, but apparently the company that signed her is trying to get out their $80 million contract with her because Glitter sucked so bad. And this isn't the movie I'm talking about, I'm talking about the CD Glitter which sold about 475,000 copies. Being in the public eye can sure turn on you in an instant. And it's amazing what the media will do to your private life (the mental break down) and just make it look as bad is can possibly get. Here's to hoping to her best of luck.

Now we'll just have to see what happens when Britney Spears' movie comes out later in 2002. Everyone's gonna have a field day with that. I may be a sympathizer of Mariah Carrey, but I'm NOOOOO sympathizer of Ms. Spears. I hope her career goes down the kamode so fast. And knowing how young and ignorant she probably is, she probably hasn't saved hardly any of her fortune. So when her career fizzles out, she won't have a cent to spend. She'll either move back in with mom and dad, or syphon off of Justin Timberlake if he still happens to be rich and famous.

In all fairness....it's a really hard song...but in all fairness, Mariah is a very good singer, she's got great range, and SHOULD be able to handle the song better than most...


I'm not a big fan..but oh well..

This is true. She tried to change and tried to fit into the trashy slut rage that is Britney and Christina. Like I said, if Mariah were to go back, she'd be A LOT better off.

As for Christina, the girl does have a voice too. If she'd change her get up and maybe her audience, she might last a little longer than Britney and Mandy will.

I just saw Mandy Moore on tv not too long ago, she has black hair now. I have to say of all the "blond clones" I respect Mandy Moore the most. Not because of talent or anything, but she just seems to be the most genuine out of all those people.

But yeah, Mariah started dropping like a rock once Britney & co. hit the streets.
