At least then we will get to see the season of Futurama we are missing due to football. This week, we only get 7 minutes of the episode. I just turned off my TV in disgust. I am sick of Fox and their stinking Sunday night line up anyway, always jacking it up somehow. And I wrote a letter of my disgust to askfox@fox.com, and suggest that you all do the same!

With the way the seasons of THE SIMPSONS, FUTURAMA, MALCOM IN THE MIDDLE, and TITUS (as being my fave programs to watch) are being pushed farther and farther into the winter to begin (even having the Simpsons have thier Halloween special AFTER Halloween) and not go into the summer to make up for it, we probably will get reruns fast enough.
I'll still complain for FUTURAMA's sake, though. And yes, I hate football. I never even knew what the Super Bowl was so big for till a year ago!

people who watch football>people who watch Futurama
Every time they show Futurama it is a repeat. I have seen that episode of Fry losing his seven-leaf clover for the third time. It isn't brand-new and it didn't get interrupted by football. Now did the last season's premiere ever air because that was pre-empted by football. They should have Futurama interrupt football a la Hiedi.

I've been extremely dissapointed with FOX on Futurama. Thankfully I get the West channels and get it at 11pm, later in the night. But I'd still like to watch it at it's right time!

There were times in the past that Sunday night programming was not pre-empted by Football. If the game was over at 6:20, that's when the shows began, and the news ran late. Not anymore, though.

Why can't it be like that again? I remember when networks would do that. NBC still does that whenever they have programs that run over, so why not FOX. It's a shame to see how badly they treat these shows, especially Futuruama. No wonder Groening isn't exactly happy with all of this.

For all you people on the east coast, let me put it to you this way. I live on the west coast and for years when I was growing up (all possible jokes about my maturity aside) there were many at time when I would get up on a Saturday morning only to have my favorite cartoons interrupted for football or basketball or baseball, perhaps this might explain my hatred of sports now, or maybe it was just PE.
Anyway, the way I see it, IT'S FINALLY PAYBACK TO ALL YOU WHO WERE ONCE KIDS AND GOT TO SEE THE CARTOONS THAT I MISSED BECAUSE THEY WERE PREEMPTED BY SOME STUPID SPORT!!! *sob*
Just ignore me, I'm bitter. :D

Just curious, did anybody here write to Fox at that email address and make their concern heard to them about this?

Yeah - the folks on the west coast are extremely lucky to be catching these. Thankfully I have a west chanel so I don't miss these as well. It's still unfair how FOX just does this...all the time...

I would just like to point out that the football game which went into Futurama's time slot was one of the most exciting games I've ever watched. It was almost as good as the Jets miracle victory on MNF last year. I think I'm the only football fan here...

What football game that interrupted Futurama on Sunday, 12/30/01? There was no football and Futurama was about Fry putting his lucky 7-leaf clover in the Breakfast Club soundtrack (or is Bender would say 'Breakfast Club Sandwich'). They have shown it before, as the song at the end goes "Don't you forget about me", but you have forgotten about it!

fox's line up should be like this: (keep in mind that all times are central cause i live in wisconsin)
6:00-6:30 football/post game
6:30-7 News
7-7:30 Simpsons
7:30-8 malcom in the middle
8-8:30 Futurama
8:30-9 King of the hill or something else
fox needs to realize that x-files don't fit there. if i remember correctly they were gonna do this in 1999 (move x-files to thursday) but never did >_<
just a wish :)

I'd be all for news in that time slot, but the news department here in Kansas City on the Fox affilliate would more than likely pre-empt shows just to get themselves on the air. And they already broadcast about 6 hours of news a day.
