Post your reviews and/or thoughts here on tonight's episode, and the good ones will be placed on the episode page for that show, here at the Fansite!
Last week went well, and I was able to get up both Balloonenstein and Waltz for Venus episode pages with a considerable amount of reviews(including ones from the other AS forum).
Keep 'em coming!
(p.s. This Space Ghost episode is a b-side to Kentucky Nightmare. It's like Brilliant Number One and Brilliant Number Two. Only instead of changed text, the difference is this episode contains a DVD-style commentary from the mothers of the producers!)

"Kentucky Nightmare" was one of the best episodes of Space Ghost Coast to Coast in the year 2001. So what better way to honor it with an episode about the episode!
"Mom-mentary" is to "Kentucky Nightmare", as "Table Read" is to "Fire Ant". The premise being the mothers of Space Ghost Coast to Coast's producers comment on the episode. It is clearly obvious the mothers have great pride in their sons' work even if they think it is "nonsense" and hardly ever watch the show.
The main draw is that it feels like a totally different cartoon from "Kentucky Nightmare" (which despite first glance is focused in its approach). And it is recommended that you see that episode first, so you know what you are watching in "Mom-mentary". When hearing the moms' voices over the dialogue you notice how random it looks with only pictures and how many scene changes are in a 15-minute episode.

first of all, kentucky nightmare was great. second of all, mommentary wasnt. there was no point in even airing that. it was a forced episode. i couldnt understand what the mothers were saying, and everything was all jumbled. final score: 0/5.

The writers of SGC2C sure love to ***** with our heads. Remember when we thought that Momentary was going to be a half hour episode with Merril Markoe? Anyway, this episode was a neat idea, but man...that was boring. I understand that it wasn't really supposed to be funny, but I really don't know what it was supposed to be.

Did anyone else find themselves trying to pay more attention to "Kentucky Nightmare" than to the "Mom-mentary"?
I sure did. Wow. This is the first episode of SGC2C in a LONG time that I didn't like at all. A helpful hint to the producers: This probably would've been a helluva lot funnier if...oh..I dunno...YOU had done the commentary.

My bro & I love the original Kentucky Nightmare, and this one...just didn't stick well. I think it would have been funnier if they got some actual movie stars to do it...they'd actually know what the heck they would be doing(The voice over people were talking about "family business" for the entire thing....gah)

I was trying to introduce the show to a couple of friends. Imagine this episode being your intro to spaceghost. Yikes! It was just poorly done regardless. The audio mix was awful ...you couldn't hear the commentary or the "show" very well. I liked the premise I suppose and it could have been funny...maybe. Personally I liked the part afterward with zorak and moltar giving the silent treatment to SG. When zorak said "guh...." It was pretty damn funny.

The only reason I watched it was that I had never seen "Kentucky Nightmare" before. I couldn't stand the "Momentary". It distracted from a great episode. Personally they could've done without the "Momentary".

It was good idea, but it didn't work. The moms weren't even talking about what they were watching! They thought that it was "too deep for them"?! A shark is lying on the set and SG is running from a bear. How is that deep? This episode obviously was not intended to be funny at all, but just an excuse to get their moms on the show.

Here's my thought on it....[raises leg and flatulates loudly]
Maybe if it had been the character's mothers, in costumes/masks--sitting around talking about it....

It wasn't very funny.
