- The singer was at a screening of Woody Allen film, Annie Hall, in London when hunky Orlando asked for her autograph.

Annie Lennox reportedly snubbed Orlando Bloom - because she thought he was an obsessed fan.

The singer was at a screening of Woody Allen film, Annie Hall, in London when hunky Orlando asked for her autograph.

She allegedly told him: "I just want a quiet night. Please leave me alone and get a life."

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "It was like watching a car crash unfold. Nobody could understand why she was being so rude to Orlando of all people.

"It was difficult to believe she didn't know who he was. He's been in almost every blockbuster this year. But it turns out she genuinely though he was an unusually good-looking fan. She must have been living under a rock for the past few years."

Annie was said to be horrified when she realised her embarrassing mistake, and rushed over to apologise.

After clearing up the misunderstanding, the star gave Orlando an autograph and he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.

An insider revealed: "She was bright red when he smooched her."Someone was a little rude that day, sheesh. It's good that Lennox apologized, but still...

What kind of scares me is the idea that
"Oooh? What? He's a CELEBRITY?! Well, then..."

Quite. The idea that there wouldn't have been anything wrong with it had he actually just been a 'nobody' rather'n a fan is a bit silly, and a bit disconcerting.

While I don't really blame them for it, celebrity culture is really rather bizarre and obnoxious.

But I was also amused by the idea of one celebrity asking another for an autograph. Of course asking for autographs has always seemed like a laughable activity to me.

And who the hell is Annie Lennox?

The lead singer from the 80s band The Eurethmics. She still does stuff.

Wow, good thing he was a celebrity. Otherwise, her actions would have been not only completely justified but would never have made the news.

If you've seen LOTR's Return of the King, Lennox had sung the ending theme.

Yeah, that is scary.Usually, Annie is. Has your radio station played her rendition of Winter Wonderland yet? For the first 45 seconds, it sounds more like a horror soundtrack....like she was travelling through Willy Wonka's infamous boat tunnel while she was singing.

I can't figure out what any of her songs mean either. WHO wants to get abused by me?? WHO??
