Voices as in voices that are from actors/actresses who aren't adjusting their voices for different jobs.

I hadn't really paid much attention to it until The Beloved Wife (TBW from here on) pointed it out. F'r instance, you'll hear the voice of Lil from Rugrats all over the place, like Disney's 101 Dalmations series, and Spongebob's voice does double-duty as Cupid on Fairly Oddparents. Also, I just heard Yakko's voice on Nick's Butt-Ugly Martians.

Can anybody attach some real names to these voices (I'm too lazy to read credits :D) or name some that I'm missing (and they are legion, I'm sure). Meanwhile, I'll be giving TBW some dirty looks for sensitizing me in the first place. :wakko:

I've got the link for you http://www.imdb.com it's THE source for info on actors, voice or otherwise.

Just search for the show, click on the character, click on the actor..and it shows all the shows they have worked on!

SWEET!

Yeah, Kath Soucie, the voice of both Phil & Lil is also Rolly/Cadpig/Anita Darling on 101 Dalmations, Kanga in the Tiger Movie, additional voices for Powerpuff Girls, was Fifi LeFume on TTA....and a whole lot of other Voice Credits...

Tom Kenny (SpongeBob) is also Mayor/Narrarator/ and some of the other voices on PPG...but I couldn't find a ref to the show you mentioned...

Rob Paulsen does v/o for both Butt-Ugly Martians and that new Jimmy Neutron flick (which may be the one thing that prompts me to see it). Kath Souicie (Phil, Lil, Mrs. DeVille) also works on B.U.M, Rugrats, and a myriad of other shows. Also in the B.U.M. cast is Robert Stack of Unsolved Mysteries who is not above self-parody--see also BASEketball and Beavis and Butt-Head Do America. Tom Kenny was Heifer on Rocko's Modern Life and the canine half of CatDog as well as Spongebob; he, like most v/o actors, started as a stage comedian.
Some actors, even if they do a myrad of voices, have a certain "fingerprint" that is identifiable by a good ear....

yeah Rob Paulsen (Pinky...Dr. Otto....Yakko) was also Raphael on TMNT, the 2nd voice of Arthur on the Tick, The 2nd voice of Hadji on RAO Johnny Quest...and a number of other shows...

Charles Adler (I think that's his name) has also done tons of 80's stuff. Cartoons, cartoons movies... lots of that. Including My Little Pony: The Movie. Heck, Danny DeVito also contributed to that movie.

...that was Gregg Berger who voiced The Gromble (the 4-legged teacher) on "Aaaaah! Real Monsters". Berger also did a very good (and hilarious) Jack Webb in his role as Cornfed on "Duckman".

I just love these voice actor threads, don't you?
