I know we still have plenty of Justice League seasons to see yet, but if could choose Timm, Dini, and Co's next project after they are done rocking the JL, what would it be?

I would love to see them go back to doing a Batman show, but one that went back in time instead of Beyond. Basically a Batman Year one series. They could show us Bruce's training, more on his relationship with Andrea, the origin of the Joker and other villians, and eventually Dick's training to be Robin. Plus it would be cool to see an inexperienced Bruce making mistakes and learning lessons the hard way.
If you guys can think of more stuff that you'd like to see from Batman's first years, I'd be interested to read it.

In all seriousness, I don't want them to do anything else with DC's characters. Well, I do, but I would rather see them do a Star Wars animated series (sha, as if Lucas would let THAT happen, but I can dream!) or go and do something with Marvel and revitalize some of their animated projects. I mean, when is the last time we saw a really, truly good Fantastic Four animated series? There hasn't really been one yet, just some better than the others!

After they have a long run with Justice League, I'm all for a Timm and Dini take on the Fantastic Four or maybe even a Birds of Prey series (hopeful).

The Catwoman series that was proposed but never aired!

I agree with you, Nightflower! By the way, great picture!

The Catwoman animated series, though I doubt it would ever be a great success, would give us a chance to see Batman and the gang one last time, if not directly going back to TNBA or B: TAS. We could get some closure as to the whole Bruce/Talia/Babs/Selina square (?), see Tim go up against Two-Face, see what ever happened to Mavin (Selina's ex-secretary), plus Catwoman's new black costume, and (hopefully) an all black with yellow bat symbol Batman costume, even if it does contradict ROTJ continuity!!!

On a more realistic note, I too see Justice League as the end of the animated series we've come to love. Timm and Dini aren't together anymore, and as Murakami, Fogel and others get more recognition, they too will move on. I forsee maybe three seasons of JL, a movie, a few direct-to-DVD/video B: TAS, JL and Catwoman projects, and the near apocolispe of 09 worked into one of these stories...but that's it folks. Seeing them move on to Marvel...would just seem wrong somehow. I guess cause I've never really taken Marvel seriously, with all it's mutants and wierdos. It just seems so far-fetched! Somewhere down the road, I could see the team reuniting for DVD commentaries and maybe even to work on the next live action Batman or Superman film. We're nearing the end of the road here folks!

I wouldn't really like them to go to Marvel becuase I really can't see their style and stories working there. I just can't envision that. I can see more DC stuff from them, though. I would like to see that Legion of Super-Heroes hit the airs finally (that show was set for KWB but KBW dropped it). Heck, maybe even a mature Lobo series for HBO late-night. I can see them sticking around the DCUniverse for a long time, or amybe even returning to Batman's world for one last go.

But I think JL may be the end soon. I give JL four seasons and two DTVs.

I believe that after Jl has ended, one last Batman dtv will be their grand finale.

I think it's shortsighted to say that the Timm team won't be back for another show after JL. I mean, they surprised everyone with Batman Beyond, both that they made it and it was actually good. I would be very surprised if they completely stopped after JL.

I don't know...Timm is a talented creator, and I am sure he could do a great Marvel style series that would still be heads and shoulders above any Marvel animated series out there. After all, he did do a great job on Avengers #1 1/2. He's shown a great appreciation for Jack Kirby, and seems comfortable with those types of stories that made Marvel great. I don't think that if Timm did a Marvel animated series that it should be based on today's comic books, but rather be like the BTAS and go back to the roots of the characters and focus on the aspects that made them great. A Fantastic Four series or a Spider Man series that went back to the basics and preserved the dynamic of the Lee/Kirby stories would just totally rock, and I think Timm and his crew have the talent to pull it off.

I agree completely. i think after jl, timm and co will probably want to take a break from dc animated (hopefully launching a new dc series sometime in the future after a break from dc). BUT i would love to see them end their dc animated continuity with one hell of a dtv or even feature movie. that would kick [explentive deleted]. it could guest star the JL and stuff, but it would HAVE to be a batman story, i mean, come on, we all love the JL, but isnt it batman that we all want.

deep down, we all want btas, and i dont even know if i'd watch jl religiously if batman wasnt in it. and it makes sense that we are all really looking foward to the injustice gang ep and the other possible batman focus ep. i think its because most of us love batman the most and want an ep that will tie in directly w/ the other series (which injustice for all is the most likely to do, which is why i cant wait to see it.) so they should end w/ a batman dtv.

but on the other hand, a bb dtv w/ major btas and jl flashbacks would be great, especially if they gave bb (and ultimately the entire animated universe) a big awesome ending, kind of like tdkr or something, w/ all the characters and stuff. that would be sooooo great.

Me, I'd like to see them do something original. Not that I haven't enjoyed their re-imaginings of existing characters, but I'm curious to see what they could come up with on their own.

Legion of Superheroes and--

Green Lantern!!! How long must we postpone our urges of need? Starring Rayner, Stewart, Jordan, Kilowog, Gallus-Zed, and a Green Lantern Corps cast of thousands!!!!

OK, breath in, breath out... That was a fun rant! ;)

We'll probably have to wait and see how the JL plays out. Like we've discussed everywhere, its all about $$$.

I would love to see DTV movies set somewhere in the DC universe. Legion, GL, JL, BTAS, STAS, Catwoman, etc: they would all work fine for me!

I hope your wrong Dick.

Id love to see them tackle something from Marvel.
I agree with Peter that "Fantastic Four" would probably
be a good property for them.

Personally Id rather them work on Justice League forever
than quit JL for some other property.

I can't imagine any othe "Superhero" related property
bieng as rich in material or as exciting as working with
the magnificent seven.

But we know that all good things end eventually ...
(who'd have thought theyd stop making Batman Beyond
so soon? )

My fear is that after Batman , Superman, Batman & Robin,
Batman Beyond & finally Justice League these guys are
gonna want to branch away from Comic Book source material
all together.

I don't know...I would like to see a Batman DTV that wraps up all the loose ends, but even more than that I wanna see a Post-Legacy Superman. If JL ended right this very second and they put out a well-done Post-Legacy Superman DTV, I think I'd be happy. A little confused, but happy.

And Batman is hardly the reason for me that I watch JL (I love all them characters), and is DEFINITELY not the major reason I'm looking forward to "Injustice for All" ('cause I just love all the villains they're using and can't wait to see 'em in animation). And it's got a huge focus on Lex :)

Don't get me wrong, I love Bats, but Superman rules any day of the week.
