You've heard the voices and on TV this season you can see many of them in live action! I've been noticing DC voice actors popping up all over TV this season (including "Superman" himself, George Newbern) and some I didn't even realize had been in the DCAU. Of course, just about everyone knows Michael Rosenbaum and John Glover on Smallville voice The Flash and The Riddler respectively, but there are a lot other actors that have dabbled in the DC Animated Universe that you can see up close and in person this season...

"Starring" and "co-starring" obviously mean they are a regular part of the show. If someone is "recurring" I can't promise you'll see them or not. They have appeared on more than one episode this season (or are about to) or have appeared once this season and have previously been a recurring character. Single guest shots have not been counted. This about this TV season. Obviously if we just looked at all live-action TV the list would expand that much futher (including Brad "Lobo" Garrett from Everybody Loves Raymond).

I'm actually going to be so bold as to claim this is virtually a complete list of DCAU VAs that have been or will be on TV this season. Mid-season replacements that do not have announced placement are not included (including Dennis "Kilowog" Haysbert's The Unit). It started simple enough and then I ended up going through all the World's Finest bios and copied the names into IMDb and came up with what you see before you. The Batman and Teen Titans would have added just that much more so DCAU (plus the awesome Peter Stormare from The Batman vs. Dracula) is what you get.

Brilliant job, Pengy.

Great list. Is it sad that the only live action shows I watch on that list are Arrested Development and Gilmore Girls? I spend way too much time with cartoons.

George Newbern - Superman, JL/JLU
Looks like his arc on the show is over, but hey, still counts.

When's the last time Michael Ironside was on Smallville?

When's the last time Michael Ironside was on Smallville?

Last season I think.

Great list Penguin. I'm surprised you had the patience to put it together--awesome work though!

Rene Auberjonois - Dr. March, B:TAS - Kanjar-Ro, DeSaad, General Steppenwolf, Galius, JL/JLU
I thought that was Corey Burton voicing Steppenwolf.

I thought that was Corey Burton voicing Steppenwolf.
Corey did portray Steppenwolf in "Twilight of the Gods." On STAS, it was Sherman Howard.

You could actually maybe throw in Dennis Haysbert, assuming he's in the new season of 24 (that's assuming and I don't want anyone to reply with a spoiler, please. :p). He voiced Barkley James in "Mean Seasons" and Kilowog on JL/JLU.

The voice of Lex Luthor is doing car ads now, as well.

And Rino Romano is doing a sattelite radio commercial voice over. Though Penguin didn't thrown in TT/TB voice cast, but just wanted to throw that out there. :D

I'm usually really good at picking out animated voices in live action TV and didn't even realize that there are TWO DC voice actors on House, which I watch regularly. Suprising. I am also pretty good at picking out replacement voice actors on the show too, some are pretty close. I think the two Captain Atoms are pretty close, (and I watch CSI so I knew right away when Captain Atom returned it wasn't Eads, but still pretty close.) Course, Tim Daly can never be replaced. Not to take anything away from Newburn;) I just prefer Daly.

I've spend donkey's years looking for this exact sort of thread(s).

Brilliant job, Pengy. Thanks, I lost basically my whole Sunday doing it. I really didn't think I would take it this far.

When's the last time Michael Ironside was on Smallville? It was indeed season four, that's why I didn't count that.

Great list Penguin. I'm surprised you had the patience to put it together--awesome work though!Me too, I just kind of got going and went with it. I got up late, skipped lunch (oddly wasn't hungry) and ate supper during Survivor.

I thought that was Corey Burton voicing Steppenwolf.According to WF it was. I used the bios and then went to IMDb which gives credit to Auberjonois. When I got down to Steppenwolf on the JL bio page I already had Auberjonois covered so I skipped it. I saved a bit of time that way. I took it off his list. I find the cranky Dr. March from the Man-Bat episodes to be Rene's most notable DCAU role.

You could actually maybe throw in Dennis Haysbert, assuming he's in the new season of 24 (that's assuming and I don't want anyone to reply with a spoiler, please. :p). He voiced Barkley James in "Mean Seasons" and Kilowog on JL/JLU.I covered Haysbert in my comments at the end. He is scheduled for a mid-season replacement called The Unit. That's not to say he won't have some 24 involvement too (I don't read spoilers and I don't know).

And Rino Romano is doing a sattelite radio commercial voice over. Though Penguin didn't thrown in TT/TB voice cast, but just wanted to throw that out there. :DAh, but if it's just their voice we can't see them on TV. :p I just included S:TAS's Dr. Fate, George DelHoyo, because I saw him on a talk show and found the information very interesting. He mocked some of his FOX voiceovers on the show. He's the voice that tells you to watch an all-new Prison Break after the encore or to stay tuned for glimpses of next week's 24.

Most likely back where he started, on General Hospital. Again.

By the way, they started running ads for The Closer last night on TNT. Apparently, it's returning next month.

I wasn't clear on what regular day TNT would be airing it so I just went with what the second season would be and the day it was on last summer.

Say, anyone catch Jeffrey (Question) Combs on the 4400, or Star Trek: Deep Space Nine?Didn't see the 4400, but he was fantastic as Weyoun (and Brunt) in his 30-some appearances. Great work.

And what would Coombs' Scarecrow do to Coombs' Question, should they meet ... or is there an episode for us to find out?

If we're talking strictly 2005 (well, I guess we're talking the current television season, but ehh), Combs did play the recurring character Shran on Star Trek: Enterprise and appeared in the series finale.

And what would Coombs' Scarecrow do to Coombs' Question, should they meet ... or is there an episode for us to find out?
Considering the Bat Embargo and Batman Begins, the Scarecrow is the last character I expect to see show up these days (although it would be cool to see Scarecrow vs. Question, who's already paranoid as it is)

Just wanted to let you folks know, that if you have never seen "Darkseid" Michael Ironside in live action, his character on Desperate Housewives, Curt Monroe, has been in previews for tomorrow's episode at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

Also, JLU's Professor Emil Hamilton, Robert Foxworth, guest starred as Senator George Montgomery on the last new episode of The West Wing in December. At this time it is his only appearance, but he certainly could pop up again.

As of this week, we have our first major, long-time DCAU voice actor on TV this season! Harley Quinn herself is a wedding planer on Days of Our Lives! Arleen previously played this character from 1984-1990 and in 1992.

''Oooh, suh-nap!''

Okay, just watching two hours of ABC tonight I have seen the Volkswagen ''Un-Pimp My Ride'' commercials with the white-clad Germans trashing "pimped" cars and replacing them with the VW GTI mKV more times than I really care to. But the male is Count Dracula (The Batman vs. Dracula) himself, Peter Stormare.

While not a TV show, it still affords you the opportunity to see a DC voice actor in person. You can watch the spots here (http://www.youtube.com/w/Volkswagen%3A-Un-pimp-Your-Ride-I?v=wey9--VVxAg&feature=Views&page=1&t=t&f=b), here (http://www.youtube.com/w/Volkswagen%3A-Un-pimp-Your-Ride-II?v=izLGykFU-Io&feature=Views&page=1&t=t&f=b) and here (http://www.youtube.com/w/Volkswagen%3A-Un-pimp-Your-Ride-III?v=29P_WppkJEA&feature=Views&page=1&t=t&f=b).

Once is probably enough, I'd recommend Prison Break (returns to FOX March 20) for a better showcase of Stormare's talents.

Wow. Never knew Ben Browder was in JLU. That friggin rules.

Wish we had some other Stargate people voice in JLU. Then again, 90% of those people live in Canada (since that's where they film). Then again again, if Claudia Black can dub an anime for ADV, then she can voice a guest character on JLU.

Of course, I also wouldn't mind some of the BangZoom regulars to show up (I'm shocked that Wendee Lee, Johnny Young Bosch, and Steven Blum haven't shown up at all).

Well, remember in the DCAU they try to get live-action actors mainly for their chars, no VA exclusives (except Kim Mai Guest and Lex Lang, apparently).

I'd like to see some of the Ocean Group on the show, though. Like Garry Chalk or Venus Terzo.

All I have to say to that is. . . WOW I do not want to know how long it took you to find out all that information, but great job man.

As of this week, we have our first major, long-time DCAU voice actor on TV this season! Harley Quinn herself is a wedding planer on Days of Our Lives! Arleen previously played this character from 1984-1990 and in 1992.

Arleen Sorkin - Harley Quinn, B:TAS, TNBA, S:TAS, BB:ROTJ, JL
*Calliope Jones Bradford on Days of Our Lives recurring (daytime, NBC)

Did anyone get screen caps of Arleen? I've only seen one picture of her and it was from back in the day.

Speaking of Clancy Brown, he was on an episode of LOST awhile back as a General in Iraq. I don't think it was a regular character though, just a one time one (so far anyway).

The rule I made up was they have to appear at least twice over the series at least once this season. One shots there was no chance you could check them out and it would have made it a lot more work.

Yah, I just felt like mentioning it since he had a pretty big part in that ep, as far as one-shots go. That and it was a "...I know I know that voice..." moment.

Well this is a throwback. I remember when I lost my whole day putting this thread together, I got going and ended up skipping lunch and then ate supper after it was done. It was a lot of work and I don't think I could do it again. So few of those shows from the first post are even still on the air.

I think it's nice though to have it back running for those fans who want to see the people they heard in DCAU shows in new projects. I always get excited myself when I see someone on a tv show that I've heard on an animated show.

One cool fact: There was recently an episode of "Castle" with Nathan Fillion (Vigilante), Susan Sullivan (Hippolyta), Robert Costanzo (Det. Bullock) and Robert Picardo (Amazo).

Not to mention Allison Mack (Smallville) as Power Girl (Superman/Batman: Public Enemies), Phil Morris (Smallville) as Imperiex (Legion of Superheroes), Jerry O'Connell (Carpoolers (RIP)) as Captain Marvel (Justice League Unlimited), Gina Gershon (Ugly Betty) as Catwoman (The Batman), Wallace Langham (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) as Clayface (The Batman) and Ocean master (Batman: The Brave and the Bold), Marg Helgenberger (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) as Hera (Wonder Woman), David Boreanaz (Bones) as Hal Jordan (Green Lantern: First Flight), Adam Baldwin (Chuck) as Superman (Superman: Doomsday) and Hal Jordan (Justice League Unlimited), George Newbern (guest appearance in Ghost Whisperer) as Superman (Justice League and Justice League Unlimited), Tim Daly (Private Practice) as Superman (Superman: the Animated Series and Superman/Batman Public Enemies), Ricardo Chivara (Desperate Housewives) as Major Force (Superman/Batman: Public Enemies), and lastly (because this is the last one I can think of), Dan Castellenata (no other than Homer Simpson from "The Simpsons") as Ventriloquist/Scarface (The Batman).

Oh, and just to throw some golden oldies in there: John Larroquette (Night Court) as Mirror Master (The Batman), Richard Moll (Night Court) as Two-Face (Batman: the Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures), Ed Asner (Mary Tyler Moore Show) as Roland Daggett (Batman: The Animated Series) and Granny Goodness (Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League Unlimited), and the lovely Elizabeth Montgomery (Bewitched) as the Barkeeper in Batman: the Animated Series, in the episode "Showdown." This was her last acting role, bless her soul.

Oh, and before anyone says anything, yes, I know not all of these are "classic" DCAU, but some where included in the original list, so I figured I'd expand.
