Ever since Bart revealed him as the one who framed Krusty in "Krusty Gets Busted", we have been treated with at least one episode in particular seasons dedicated to Sideshow Bob exacting vengeance upon the Simpsons or something else. But yet, episodes involving him are some of the most revered episodes of the series and the episodes people look forward to the most at times.

Now in comemmoration of the latest Sideshow Bob episode "The Italian Bob", now is the time for me to make the poll as to what is your favorite Sideshow Bob episode. We have:

Krusty Gets Busted - Sideshow Bob's major role debut in which he framed Krusty, eventually replacing him on his show, until Bart revealed him to be the framer.
Black Widower - Sideshow Bob tries to marry Selma in order to murder her and acquire her insurance.
Cape Feare - Sideshow Bob after being released from prison, attempts to put an end to Bart once and for all while the Simpsons try to relocate to avoid him.
Sideshow Bob Roberts - Sideshow Bob runs for Mayor as a Republican, only to be revealed to commit voter fraud.
Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming - Sideshow Bob in an attempt to destroy television acquires a nuclear warhead threatening to detonate it unless his demands are met.
Brother from Another Series - Sideshow Bob's estranged brother Cecil comes to meet Sideshow Bob, but there is more to his visit than it seems.
Day of the Jackanapes - After finding out Krusty erased all the episodes featuring Sideshow Bob, Bob tries to mold Bart into a suicide bomber in an attempt to get back at Krusty.
The Great Louse Detective - When Homer's life is threatened, the help to find the criminal comes from a criminal himself, Sideshow Bob.
The Italian Bob - The Simpsons go to Italy to acquire a new car for Mr. Burns, only to find themselves in a remote village where Sideshow Bob is Mayor.

Here's mine in order.

1. Cape Feare
2. Sideshow Bob Roberts
3. Krusty Gets Busted
4. Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming
5. Black Widower
6. Brother from Another Series
7. The Italian Bob
8. Day of the Jackanapes
9. The Great Louse Detective

As a big fan of Frasier, I have to go with "Brother From Another Series." Cecil and Bob bantered just like Frasier & Niles, there was a joke card like Frasier, and the line "Maris?" got howls of laughter out of my parents and me.

"The Great Louse Detective" is funny too. The whole sequence with the parade is what sticks in my mind.

"Sideshow Bob Roberts" is interesting to me, because I've watched it when I was a liberal and then later watched it now as a conservative. So, it's funny in two different ways--either you laugh at "evil" republicans in their layer, or you laugh of the absuridty of the one-sided "satire." It holds up, because recently, more cases of "dead people voting" have recently been unearthed.

Cape Feare is not only the best Sideshow Bob episode, it is the best episode of the Simpsons PERIOD.

Agreed- No other Bob episode really made me laugh so many times as that one.

As a last hurrah of the old Simpsons writers, "Cape Feare" goes out on a great note with some of the best jokes that are still funny and well-timed even to this day ("Bartdoyouwannaseemychainsawandhockeymask?!?!?!"). The episode had everything- genuine tension, all types of comedy, nice animation, and the ever-fun rake gag.

Having said that, though, I still have a higher fondness for "Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming". So many quotable lines, and I liked how Krusty worked into the plot again.

Cape Feare for many reasons. The Rakes, Homer's sudden entrance into Barts room with a knife, the driving through the catuses with sideshow bob under the car, Sideshow bob trying to write in blood. Just a fun episode.

Another one for Cape Feare. The rake gag along with the Homer in a Hockey Mask and Sideshow Bob under the car were great but the joke that's stood out in my mind for the longest was when those agents ran off a list of places they could be hide them at.

Agent: We have places your family can hide in peace and security: Cape Fear, Terror Lake, New Horrorfield, Screamville
Homer: Ooh, Ice Creamville!
Agent: Er, no, Screamville.
Homer: Aah!

"Hello, Mister Thompson."

Cape Feare. Come on.

I love "Cape Feare", but, by a very narrow margin, I have to give it to "Sideshow Bob Roberts". So many funny lines ("No children have ever meddled with the Republican party and lived to tell about it."), and a well-done plot.

"Black Widower" and "...Last Gleaming" are also enjoyable.

The only Sideshow Bob episode I've really hated was "The Great Louse Detective." All the other ones I've enjoyed thoroughly... even tonight's. I gotta go w/ "Sideshow Bob Roberts." I liked how it wasn't a plot to actually kill Bart or anyone in particular... not to mention some great lines...

Lionel Hutz: "Mr. Mayor, is it true that you rigged the election?"
Bob: "No, I did not."
*pause*
Lionel Hutz: "Kids, help." (to Lisa and Bart)

Bart: "We want the truth!"
Bob: "The truth?! You can't handle the truth! No truth handler, you! Bah, I deride your truth-handling"abilities!"

Judge: "Bailiff... place the mayor under arrest."
Bob: "What?! Oh yes... all that stuff I did."

It's tough, but I'd choose Cape Feare.
Why?

Mr. Thompson
Bart freaking out by Homer.
The rake
and (since no one else mentioned it) the bizarre ending.

Krusty Gets Busted by far. Sideshow Bob should rob that Kwik-E-Mart again!

Cape Feare is the episode with Bob singing H.M.S. Pinafore?

That is the Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion of Sideshow Bob episodes.

I loved the first episode, the one where he marries Selma, Cape Feare, and "Brother from Another Series"...those are all excellent Bob episodes. The two in between were decent.

The past two in latter seasons were pretty poor - but last night's wasn't so bad, if not for the quick ending. Apart from that, I would've almost put that on par with the best earlier ones, easily.

Cape Feare hands down! I loved the rake sequence, the parts where Homer jumps into Barts room twice, the Thompsons sequence, and the part where Bob was riding beneath the Simpsons' car while enduring the stuff they run over. I also thought "Bake him away toys" was quite the memorable quote.

Although I picked Brother from another series now that i look back on it Cape Feare is the better episode.

This is a tough one. Obviously "Cape Feare" is a classic. I really liked the plot in "Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming"

But I had to go for "Sideshow Bob Roberts". I mean, it may not be the best Bob episode, but "A. Gorilla" and "Duh, stay out of Riverdale!" never cease to make me laugh.

Sideshow Bob is the only reason to continue producing Simpsons episodes. He's the most interesting character in the entire Simpson-verse. I haven't been a regular viewer in perhaps a decade...but whenever I hear/read that Kelsey Grammer is reprising his role, I tune-in faithfully and laugh the laugh of the damned!

one of my favorite rants: "By Lucifer's Beard!!!"- Cape Feare

glad to know Bob hates Orlando as much as I do
now if they'd only release a Sideshow Bob-themed dvd (2 discs, all 9 eps)
btw, as an avid Frasier fan, I doth my cap to "Brother...Another Series"
